Good food, excellent service. Comfortable, clean, air-conditioned rooms, with views over the desert from the verandas. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Functional wi-fi. Definitely worth a visit.

The resort is still close enough for a day trip to Sossusvlei, and a little bit closer to Swakopmund if you need to travel that terrible road. Make sure you get up early to watch the first light hit the petrified dunes as the colours are magic. Everything is just great with immaculate gardens, a lovely room and friendly staff.

We camped here for two nights. Upon arrival at the gate you get directed to the lodge which is situated at a beautiful spot. I should mention that we did not stay in the lodge but camped at their camp ground. After checking in we were direct back to the main gate - a 10km round trip - only to find that we had to go through a workers camp and stayed right next to this noisy lot. The sites did not inspire. The word are lacklustre . The bathroom were beautifully clean and cannot be faulted but the camp site should be avoided. It is noisy because it is close to the main road. Braai stands were not cleaned and the light fitting at the sites did not work. I think that Gondwana should take note and hold someone responsible for the poor service of this camp site.

As with other Gondwana properties, the location is stunning. Friendly reception and welcome drink, smooth check in. We got cottage 50, which is a fair walk from reception/pool/restaurant ; but as most of their cottages it overlooks the desert, you can see the oryx grazing. The cottage is not overly spacious, just enough ; we found the light insufficient to access luggage. The bathroom is rather basic and small. They have 2 lovely pools and a well stocked bar (which is pricey, though). Wifi is bordering on non-existant and the little bit that works is only available close to reception (I spoke to the manager about this, who got very irate - obviously a sore point)

Beautiful ''bungalows'' in gorgeous grounds. Wonderful staff, all those we met were very helpful, friendly & courteous. Various wildlife dodging around, specifically Guinea Fowls & a Unicorn (or was it a one-horned Ibex?). More wildlife on the sundowner, the highlight of which for the animal lovers was hand-feeding a wild Gerbil. Gorgeous sunset, very, very photogenic. Far from the madding crowd in a country 3x the size of the UK, with a population of about 3-4 million.
