Pool was refreshing. Nightly bonfire a plus. Our biggest disappointment was having our 13 yr old grand daughter with us and no one for her to chum around with. Usually there are more children, in our experiences, at other places we've stayed. Breakfast was our favorite of the meals.

Room Tip: Lakeview room on the bottom floor. Rooms 14 and 15 share an exterior door. Nice if traveling with others. Each has its own lock of course.

We have been staying at this motel for 20 years. We have never been disappointed in the care we have been given. All of the staff is more than pleasant and eager to please. The grounds are amazing with a beautiful view of Seneca Lake. The motel itself is old but has been updated and very clean. The restaurant is basic good food. I refers to it as a scene out of The Dirty Dancing movie. If you are looking for elaborate with loads of emmenities, not your go to, but if you are looking for a beautiful area with caring staff, please give it a try.

Room Tip: all rooms seem to have a view of the lake

The atmosphere in this restaurant is more of a family setting and feel. Some of the tables are set for multiple families at the same table. It's a little tight with a packed house but the fact that they were packed is a plus. I had the Turkey Dinner Special. It was Delicious!!! Only wish they gave more cranberry sauce. The amount they gave was about a tablespoons worth. My husband ordered the Veal Parma. He Loved it. But was very confused that they didn't give a garlic bread with that type of dish. Overall, we love this place... The lake is right in front of you. The old decore felt very homey and the staff was very friendly.. Must go!

While traveling along Route 14 we happened upon the sign for Rainbow Cove and decided to give it a try - we were not disappointed. A throw back to a much simpler time of vacationing (reminded me of my childhood vacationing with my Grandmother in Pennsylvania) - it was wonderful. The rooms are not fancy or modern, but they are clean and comfortable, and they do have a mini-fridge, cable TV and wi-fi. There is an on premise restaurant that offers good home cooked meals at very reasonable prices - nothing fancy, just good solid home style food and very friendly staff. The premises are immaculate, a well maintained property, including a swimming pool (non heated) that is just refreshing during a hot July or August day. There is also a small game room and a larger barn structure with games and a stage area - just like my childhood memories. The property is nestled right on Lake Seneca with a dock, with dock space and boat and kayak rentals available and a beautiful view of the Lake. At dusk there is a daily ritual of the lighting of a campfire that brings you together with your fellow travelers for conversation - anyone remember that?? - talking and not with your head buried in an electronical device - human interaction. The views of the Lake and the Night skies and the stars were awesome and relaxing. If you are looking for a break from the madness of civilization for awhile, this is the place to go - a relaxing and carefree atmosphere, you go at your own pace. It is a small, cozy Mom & Pop place, with friendly owners and staff and books up quickly (almost all booked for next July already) - but if you enjoy an out of the way place that is off the grid for awhile, this is the place for you. And if not, Watkins Glenn is 14 miles away.
