We were enthralled and attracted to the images on the website, particularly of the grounds. In reality, they are even more stunning than the web images. The grounds are well maintained, meticulously groomed, and yet, still inviting; family-friendly and accessible. The grounds crew should be very proud of the outdoor space.
The staff is professional, efficient, and friendly. Two, in particular, went out of their way to help individuals who needed assistance.
The one disappointing aspect of our visit was our room. I booked a one-bedroom deluxe suite. I was drawn to the images on the website. My husband and I have traveled around the world. When we book a room for $435 per night which is billed as a one-bedroom deluxe suite, we have a certain expectation in mind, especially when we saw the images on the website. What we got was a studio apartment with a subpar bathroom (my first apartment on the lower east side of New York City had a more spacious bathroom) and we expected a suite with a bedroom. What we got was a studio apartment complete with a Murphy bed, and a full kitchen which was not necessary for a two-day stay. The linens were not luxurious and there seemed to be some sort of crinkly plastic tarp underneath the bed linens which was disconcerting and not at all deluxe. Finally, the WIFI in the room was non-existent, and the router in the room was the size of a mini-fridge.
We think it is important for you to know about our overall experience. We hope that you consider these comments. Our overall experience was not a deluxe, luxury experience, though the setting was magnificent.
