We went there for dinner. I have a craving for soup dumplings. We ordered crab meat, and pork soup dumplings which are very good!. also tried their noodle soup, very good, too. Their drunken chicken and fried yellow fish were great, too. the customer service is nice. they also provide free desert, which is nice. Tried their fishhead hotpot, nice too, especially for a cold weather. Overall, clean, good food, and good service, will go back again.

Great soup dumplings. The great big one they have on the menu is more of a novelty though...I'd pass on it. The croaker fritters are light, flaky and delicious. The beef scallion pancakes are out of this world.

My husband and I were in Flushing, Queens, NY for the US Tennis Open. The staff at our hotel, the Hyatt Place, recommended the Shanghai You Garden Dumpling House to us for soup dumplings, which was a five-minute walk from the hotel.

We ordered the Steamed Pork Buns (free as a promotion), the Special Spare Ribs with Garlic Sauce, General Tso's Chicken and the Scallion Pancakes with Sliced Beef. All were excellent! Since our order was taken while we were waiting to be seated, we didn't have to wait long for our food.

This is a cash only business, as are many of the restaurants in the area.

Don't be discouraged by what appears to be a long line waiting to get in. They move the line quickly and most of the time, you are seated in a line of chairs (outside and inside) while you are waiting. Even though the restaurant was very busy, the staff was very attentive and ready to respond to any questions/needs we had. As a special surprise, a tasty, free dessert was provided.

Don't miss the opportunity to have delicious, genuine soup dumplings.

In town for the Open and staying at a local hotel. Decided we wanted to walk to dinner, so China Town was the destination. While the wait was about 25 minutes (Sunday night at 7:00) the staff was friendly and the food great. Had the dumplings, some noodles, and a chicken dish - under $40'to feed a family of three. One thing that was a bit odd - but made sense once we thought about it - they take your order while you're waiting. Once your table is ready, the wait for your food is pretty short. All in all, a good meal and experience.
