Beautiful Residence Inn. The hotel is extremely clean, comfortable (the beds are super) and has an extremely friendly and professional staff.
We have stayed at many Residence Inns in the past and the breakfast at this hotel is the best we have ever had. We watched Major run the breakfast like a precision clock. He's amazing! The people working to bring out more food were Johnny on the spot. Ashley came to each table, with a smile, to clear and ask guests if there was anything she could bring them. For those of you who prefer healthy choices, as I do, this breakfast has soymilk, scrambled egg whites, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, an array of yogurt, nuts and cut fresh fruit. You can even get ice coffee. Of course, there are so many other options such as bacon, waffles, pastries, potatoes and sausage.
The evening get together was lovely!
Overall, our experience at this hotel was wonderful. It is a very well run and super clean facility!

Thank you, Ceasers, for your stupendous review!

It is wonderful to know you enjoyed our hot buffet-style breakfast options as well as The Mix and that our Food and Beverage staff impressed you! We know we have the best staff but it always great to hear we stand above the rest in the eyes and opinion of our guests. We hope you return to our hotel and we can impress you again!

This place is still so new you can smell the carpeting! Suites were spacious and had an almost entirely full kitchen if you want to make your own meals or have take-out. Beds were super comfy. Everything was clean. Buffet breakfast was great and included in the price. Lobby was beautifully decorated. We stopped here on the way to Woodstock. Next time, we may stay longer and explore the Fishkill area, since we found out about so many things to do in and near Fishkill. We learned that kill means stream or creek in Dutch.

Happy to have found this after dropping out teen at summer camp. Co-located with a Springhill, we chose Residence Inn because they accept our small dog.

Very new, clean, spacious, and room has lots of outlets. Love the walk-in shower, too.

We will come back.

This Residence Inn shares a building with an adjoining Spring Hill Suites. There's a common breakfast area, swimming pool, fitness center and reception desk. The rest is separate. We stayed in the Residence Inn. Our room, with a king size bed, was nicely equipped, very clean, with good wifi and a handy kitchenette. It's an open floor plan with the living room separated from the sleeping area (not a separate bedroom) by a TV table. The only negative from our experience was this set-up felt cramped ... an additional 100 or so square feet in the sleeping area would be a huge improvement. Also, we felt a strange vibration coming through the floor from time to time. I'm guessing this may have been caused by the nearby elevator (we were in room 312), but I don't know for sure. The vibrations weren't strong enough to be a real problem, but it certainly was an unusual experience.

Thank you, hankbauer, for your review!

I must thank you for pointing out that we are a dual-brand property with Springhill Suites because we are the third in the nation to have a combination such as this and the first in the Hudson Valley! Your description of the King Studio Suite is very helpful and our suites are actually 25% larger than average hotel suites, so we apologize that the room made you and those in your room feel cramped. This is also the first time we are hearing about vibrations on your floor and we apologize for this inconvenience as well. We will be sure to investigate and fix the problem now that we know about the problem.

What a great hotel! Here are the pros:

Location: Quiet location to the left of a shopping area. A Wal-Mart is close by, which is great to get groceries and other needed items. There's also a Sam's Club. Likewise, there is a Ruby Tuesday's close by and a Cracker Barrel across the road from the shopping center.

Building: This hotel looks spanking new. It is contemporary with a lovely dining area and bar tucked away in the corner. The dining area has a long table with bar stools, as well as many tables with comfortable, stylish chairs. I didn't use the business center, but it looked as if there were computers available off the lobby. Great fitness center and nice, clean pool. Elevators are quiet and fast.

Rooms: Even better news here. The rooms are totally designed for beauty and function. For example, one of my pet peeves is that many hotel rooms have their air conditioning/heat blowing across one side of the bed. This room configuration is such that you enter with the kitchen to the right and then enter the sitting area. The air conditions this area, which then spreads throughout the room. In addition, the TV turns in such a manner that it's equally visible in the bed nook to the left and in the living area on the other side. A desk is arranged to the right of the TV and across from the comfortable sofa. The pictures in the room are interesting and colorful. On each side of the bed are lights, but there is also a cool reading light that can be moved into a variety of positions. I always read after my husband goes to sleep, so I really appreciated that.

Kitchen: The kitchen is stocked with dishes, glasses, and utensils. There are probably pots and pans, but I didn't notice since I didn't cook. There is a microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator, all new and clean. There is a Keurig coffee maker and 6+ coffee containers. They have salt and pepper, some sugar packets, dishwasher detergent, Palmolive soap, and POPCORN. I loved the popcorn. There was also a form you could fill out to order groceries in case you didn't have time to shop for your own. That was a nice feature if you need it.

Bathroom: The shower was fantastic. It was large and had a Speakman shower head. The sink had a Meredien faucet. The toiletries were by Paul Mitchell. All of these were #1! My husband put his toiletry items by the sink and on the shelves on the side of the wall. I placed mine on a counter to the left before you enter the bathroom. There are drawers there to store items as well.

Bedding: SOFT comes to mind immediately. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the pillows were fantastic. I brought mine along just in case , but I didn't even have to take it out of the car.

Breakfast: YUMMY! There was the usual cereal, toast, and waffles. BUT there were things there I have not seen at a hotel "free" breakfast, to include scrambled egg whites and toppings for oat meal such as walnuts and shredded coconut. There were cartons of yogurt, but also a large bowl of yogurt with fresh fruit available to add to it. The regular scrambled eggs tasted really fresh, and there was always a meat to complement it. One day there was bacon; another choice was sausage. I'm not a breakfast person, but I found myself looking forward to it here. The staff members kept everything well stocked, and they were friendly and helpful. I remember seeing one member working especially hard. I believe her name was Andrea.

Surprises: When we arrived, the hotel set out what we ultimately used as our dinner. They had hamburgers with all the fixings, as well as a delicious salad. There were also free soft drinks. It was well presented on that long table I mentioned earlier. I believe they have this available on Mondays or Tuesdays. Every now and then a food truck featuring fresh, local vegetables as part of their meals parks in the portico in front of the hotel and offers items for sale. It makes it easy for everyone to get a fast, delicious dinner. Lollipops instead of cookies! You are welcomed with a lollipop! There was also a putting green on the grounds, a plus for golfers.

Staff: Really great staff. They are always professionally dressed and willing to go out of their way to be of help. Matt at the front desk was particularly helpful, as was a manager whose name I have forgotten. Kathy? I was exiting the elevator and was nicely greeted by Rob, a young man who was cleaning in that area.

Cons: There weren't any!!!

Thank you, schneewitchen, for your thoughtful and in depth review!

First, we are so glad that you only had positive and kind words about our hotel from the decor to the food to our staff. You are correct that we are new; the hotel celebrated its 7 month anniversary yesterday and we are very proud to have such positive feedback and to have made such wonderful impressions on our guests in a small amount of time. It is always so rewarding when we see that our hard work and dedication are paying off when we get reviews such as yours. It is wonderful to know you enjoyed the different menu selections of the Mix, which is held every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, as well as our wide selection during our hot buffet style breakfast. And yes lollipops!! The Chupa Chups lollipops are a staple of Springhill Suites hotel, which is the hotel connected to the Residence Inn, which makes us the first dual-brand hotel in the Hudson Valley. We are here to bring you comfort and make your stay enjoyable so thank you for letting us know that we accomplished that and went above and beyond your expectations! Thank you for being our guest!
