We have spent a good deal of time in this area although we actually live in Erie, but regardless, we know our way around these parts fairly well. Oddly, we have been to other eateries in this area, but this was our first time here.

When you turn off Baily Hill Road, you can't quite make the place out, but as you get closer, you can see this is a very nice place. It's not small and it is all made from rough cut, but finished timber and it is very well done. It's decorated like a hunting lodge and the theme carries through from front to back, where they have a round gas fireplace burning outside.

The fare is tavern food and the choices range from burgers to steaks and there are local beer selections also. We had the wings (medium) and fries and they were good. Not exceptional, but served quickly and hot. Our server was Halie (sp?) and she was very good and always checked on us. It is located basically on a snow mobile trail and maybe seven miles or so from Peak 'n' Peek resort.

Pine Junction is a bit out of the way, but the food was very good, and the fun of seeing a tree in the middle of the entry way, with electric outlets was the beginning of a nice time.

I took my wife and parents here for a birthday dinner. I settled on this place because of Trip Advisor and am I ever glad I did ! The place is a little off the beaten path just outside of Findley Lake. Hang a right at the giant moose ! You drive up the dirt road and straight back to the chateau in the woods. Very ornately decorated place with all the knick-knacks one might accumulate from 20 years of shopping at quaint, country markets. Beautiful wood interior and exterior. Elegantly built. I can't say enough about the ambiance of the place alone. They do not take reservations and the place was packed ! We were told we'd have 45 minute wait but it only took 30. Just enough time to enjoy a cocktail and sit around the fire pit outside the back door. Very cozy and a fun place to meet people and chat. On to the food.. Our server was Sherrie and she was delightful and efficient. We ordered a couple burgers, 1/2 rack of ribs and some appetizers. Everything was top-notch. 1/2 lb quality beef burgers loaded with toppings and just the right amount of seasoning. The ribs were the real deal too. They have a smoke house out back where you can see them grilling steaks, chops and smoking meats. We got some cheese cake and moose balls to go. They made a delicious midnight snack once we had room ! One of the best dining experiences I've had recently. We all really enjoyed the visit and will be back many times I'm sure. Even if you don't live nearby I would highly recommend taking a nice ride on a weekend and visiting this place. A real nice find.
