We decided to eat here while on holiday with our sons, daughter-in-law and baby granddaughter. As it was out of season on a Wednesday evening we didn't book. When we arrived in the car park it was very full, had to use overflow. Thinking we wouldn't get in hubby & son went to check. We were pleased to find out that they could accommodate us. Service was very efficient & our meals arrived quickly even though they were busy. Very pleasant atmosphere. My only complaint would be that there were quite a lot of dogs in the restaurant & there were a couple that started barking loudly & growling every time another dog walked past. Will definitely visit again next time we are in the area.

Glad you enjoyed your visit. We do have a dog friendly area and yes on occasion depending on the dog/s, they can be a little excitable! Definitely worth bearing in mind for future reference that we do have areas that are not dog friendly and if you book in advance, we can accommodate your preference....

Our meals were great and I thought the price was quite good for a holiday location, only slight niggle was the gent who served us was a bit abrupt with us as we hadn't booked although it wasn't to busy .. the rest of the staff were great , overall good pub

Lovely pub to visit for a drink or meal. We stopped in passing for a drink and liked the atmosphere so much we booked for dinner a few nights later. Good menu and specials board. Really enjoyed our visit and the dog was made to feel very welcome too.

The food here was lovely our first visit there but the service is very questionable!

We felt a little rushed when we first went there but it was fairly busy and food was lovely so let them off, and went back another day at the end of our holiday...

We waited at the restaurant entrance to be seated and were ignored, so chose a table and sat down in the empty restaurant. Went to bar for drinks and to get menus, and was given them but told we might have to move as they were very busy (restaurant literally empty at this point so confusing but fine)... but no suggestion as to where, so took menus to table and went back to bar to ask, also explaining that we had a toddler so wouldn't be there all night, and another server allocated us a table. He was, however, a little rude about it when I said where we were, stating "well you won't be staying there!".

We moved to the new table and chose our meals, then went to the bar to order, only to be told - for the first time - that service was not starting for another half an hour so we would be unable to order! Why why why did nobody mention this when we walked in, waited to be seated, or when we were given the menus?!

We left and went to the nearby Anvil where we experienced wonderful service.
