There are so many wonderful things to say about the Mill House Inn that it's hard to know where to begin. Starting with the staff, Innkeepers, J and Courtney couldn't be more welcoming, gracious, and knowledgable. They attend to every detail of one's stay and treat you like family. Courtney was even kind enough to educate us on the coffee served at the Inn, where to purchase it, and how to brew it. We called her several times from home! Mike, the Office Manager, made sure to have delicious bowls of ice creme available for us when we returned to the Inn each evening. Chef, Carolyn is amazing. She uses fresh, local ingredients for a most delicious breakfast and treats. Quality bedding delivers the most comfortable sleep imaginable. You won't be disappointed.

"A Slice of Heaven on the East End"

Hi Pat & Arlene,
Thank you for your great comments, we shared this with the team and they were so excited to read your kind words. We agree that the beds are heavenly and make it hard to get out of them. We have been guilty of taking a nap or two!

I sincerely appreciate the comments about our breakfasts. Our local vendors, Balsam Farms, Carissa’s Breads and Joe & Liza’s Ice Cream make it easy to provide the meals you enjoyed so much... Chef Carolyn

Our coffee and 'Nack Bar allow us to connect with our guests throughout their stay. When we are able to ensure that you leave with a new appreciation of coffee and food, we are proud to help you improve your coffee at home. Keep us up to date if you find anything interesting... Courtney

What better way to come “home” from a great dinner than to have delicious treats for a nightcap! It was a pleasure having you, and will make sure to point you in the right dessert selection the next time you are able to join us and bring your appetite... Mike

We love to hear when guests experience our local knowledge of what to do and where to go. Your “welcome and family” feelings supports our “Art of Hospitality” offer to always welcome you to your home in the Hamptons... J

Just stayed one evening and staff could not do enough for you. Was offered local refreshments when checking in. I went with the home made cookies. Escorted me to room and pointed out where all the controls were located. Heat, TV, Fans...etc. Also, had a personal welcome note listing more services. Had to run out too early for breakfast so they made me a take out breakfast bag and left it in refrigerator for me to grab on way out. Wish I could have stayed another day!

A hidden gem of the most precious kind! Perfect location ~ across from the iconic Easy Hampton Windmill and walking distance (2 mins!) to town. Found it hard to find the driveway upon initial arrival ~ it was dark and I kept missing it - that was the last bit of stress encountered! Courtney and team treated my husband and I plus our two Goldens like treasured old friends. From the private, gorgeous, immaculate suite, warm fireplace, comfy bed, spa bathroom and tub, to the phenomenal breakfast (we ate once in the main room, once had breakfast delivered to our room) and the abundant snacks - cookies, chips, ice cream, fruits, cheese, drinks ~ not even enough time to sample it all. Turn down service included truffles ~ human and doggie variety ~ and a stuffed black lab sitting on the bed. Our puppies were further spoiled with lamb and turkey dinners home-made by the resident chef. The team suggested restaurants and made our reservations for us. A detailed itinerary was printed and in our room upon arrival. The Wifi service was excellent. DVDs available at front desk but we downloaded and watched movies in our room w/no problem. Could not have been more relaxing!! Cannot wait to return. Highly recommend.

Room tip: Suites (we were #31) offer private decks and in room fireplace

"Amazingly Perfect and Romantic"

Thank you for spending Valentine’s Weekend with us at the Mill House. We are glad to hear you and the puppies were able to enjoy a romantic, stress free weekend. Our suites are a great space to lounge and relax in front of the fireplace or in the serenity air bath. Thank you for letting us spoil you and the puppies.

Our guests are our treasured friends, so we are pleased to hear you felt that way. What a wonderful way to spend a winter weekend, curled up in a comfy bed watching movies, if there is a particular movie you’d like to see next time you stay, let us know and we will have it waiting for you! - Courtney

I am overjoyed to hear you and the pups enjoyed the treats and phenomenal breakfast! Working with the goods of our local breweries, wineries, distilleries and farmers was a pure joy and to hear you enjoyed our special treats is a great compliment. Since you didn’t have enough time to try the abundant snacks, I hope you are planning your next getaway to us already! There is sure to be something new for you (and the pups) to try. - Chef Carolyn

If you need an escape, head to the Mill House Inn and the Hamptons. This place tells you, up front, that they are dog friendly and they take love of dogs to a whole new level. They recognize how important travelling with our four legged canines is, and from the minute you arrive you'll meet people who are so warm and welcoming that you feel like you've reconnected with old friends. Your room will be spacious, immaculate, and ready for you to relax. Turn on the fireplace, watch the huge flat screen TV, sip a delicious coffee that they make for you while you munch on savory treats- you'll feel your stress melting away! Take advantage of the dog sitter service- they hook you up with true dog lovers who treat your pet like it was their own. Let the staff arrange your dinner and evening entertainment- they have great suggestions for places in walking distance. Breakfast is an Event- they'll serve you a gigantic feast in your room so you and your pet feel like you're home on a special occasion. I can't say enough good things about the Mill House, but after the amazing weekend they provided us, I know I'll be going back- Often!

Room tip: If travelling with a dog, talk to the staff. They pick a room that perfectly fits your needs for walking your dog or keeping them quiet

"A Hidden Gem in the Hamptons"

Thank you for your glowing review of the Mill House. We love when our guests bring their dogs to enjoy vacation with them - it gives us the opportunity to play with them! We always connect with our guests like old friends and are pleased you felt this way. Stress relieving getaways are one of our specialties. :)

Thank you for the compliments on our breakfast. I hope your pups were able to enjoy our homemade dog food too. With freshly squeezed orange juice, dairy from the local farms and bread from wheat grown right down the road, our breakfast feasts truly are an event, but they do not have to be reserved for special occasions - we’d love to have you back very soon! - Chef Carolyn

Your four legged friends appeared to have a great time, we know Margaret loved spending time with them while dog sitting. We will be happy to offer suggestions for upcoming events and new restaurants in town next time you are with us! How about a secret dog friendly beach? - Courtney

We just shared your review with our staff and they are thrilled. It's such a pleasure to have great guests and such well behaved "super cool" dogs like yours. We hope to see you back very soon. - J

Mill House was outstanding! Perfect location, incredible breakfasts, and killer cookies.

Was sunny and 60 when I booked the room however, arrived with a snowstorm on the way. Had a wonderful time regardless. Location is perfect to stroll into town, to check out the beach, and to organize your own mid-winter East Hampton pub-crawl starting at the Rowdy Hall.

Breakfast is included, was very filling and gourmet (think 2 types of homemade ketchup, 5 types of coffee from mild to "Death Wish" the world's strongest coffee). Also included is a wonderful "nack bar" that provided for a lovely afternoon "charcuterie platter" that we enjoyed with our wine and beer. Homemade cookies (the white chocolate were memorable) were always available.

The property was lovely and classy without being pretentious. Courtney & Team could not have been more gracious. A definite repeater.

A Thank You Note
From The Mill House Inn
“Wonderful winter getaway"

Thank you for such incredible comments on our food and our team. We are so happy you were snowed in with us and were able to experience our “family.” We do agree that our location makes for a perfect winter getaway that allows for a walk to the best restaurants and shops no matter the weather. Speaking of restaurants, Rowdy Hall is a favorite of ours as well; glad you were able to experience our local watering holes. When you return to MHI, we’ll have Chef Carolyn challenge J to a Philly Cheesesteak competition so we can have authentic judges!

Our White Chocolate Cherry Cookies were on the chopping block a few months back, yet they have grown to be a fan favorite! Thank you for joining us for our family meal on that snowed in night that the town was all closed. - Chef Carolyn

We were glad to share our snow storm hospitality with you, although not much different from our norm. It’s always great to extend our love for the East End even in the snow. - Courtney

We are so glad you enjoyed the coffee; our selection of coffee comes from the privilege of trying multiple coffees and then “filtering” them to our guests when we find favorites. When you come back we will make sure to have a couple coffee flights and tasting set up for you with any new cookies or “nacks” Chef is testing. - J

We look forward to welcoming you back to The Mill House Inn
