We stayed at Alpine Lake for a weekend to see if we would like it for a longer stay. We had a hard time finding our camp site even with the map the staff gave us because the roads aren't labeled and the staff generally doesn't seem all that familiar with the layout of the park. One of the long term campers there actually helped us find our site and get us situated.
As far as the facilities are concerned, I liked the restaurant and the pool area. The lake is nice with geese, etc. to look at. The paths are great for bike riding too. However, its a big campground and there are a lot of people and a "party central" atmosphere. Being the sort that goes camping to get away from hustle bustle, I didn't find it particularly restful.More
