Description: Lambert's of Taos is a family-owned full service, upscale establishment serving Contemporary American cuisine with northern New Mexican influences in an elegant but relaxed setting. We are one of the few establishments in town that serves cocktails in addition to beer and wine. Upstairs we have the Treehouse Bar and Lounge for those not in the mood for linen tablecloths and looking for a cool, classy, and eclectic hangout with well-versed bartenders and inviting prices. During our Happy Hour (2:30 - 6:00), everything on our Happy Hour menu is $6.

My husband and I had dinner here this past Saturday evening. Our waiters, David and Niechele, were fantastic: warm, welcoming, helpful-without-hovering, and always right there when we needed them. In other words, the perfect waiters. We started out with the Coconut Red Curry Squash Bisque (jumbo lump crab, pepitas, pumpkin oil, chestnut cream, croutons) and the Grilled Brie (puff pastry wrapped, mango chutney, crostini). Both were wonderful, especially the soup! The brie was definitely large enough to share. We both ended up ordering their Harris Ranch Filet Mignon with roasted garlic chive potato puree, roasted Brussel sprouts, peppercorn demi glace, crispy leeks along with a great bottle of wine. Delicious! For dessert, we indulged with two of their specialty sundaes and coffee. They were the perfect end to our lovely, romantic, 35th wedding anniversary dinner!

We were just passing through Taos at lunch time and chose this restaurant based on their location, which is excellent. Both the outside and the inside of the restaurant are charming. The food, in our case different types of burgers, was really tasty and cooked to perfection. The French fries were crisp and not too salty. They also had a nice list of wines by glass and beers, which we didn't try, this time.

This is our go-to lunch spot when we head into Taos for a shopping day or a visit to a local hiking spot. I ordered the Mediterranean plate which was wonderful - all the tasting items on the plate (included arugula pesto hummus, tzatziki, fig tapenade, quinoa tabouleh, feta, and fresh pita) were freshly prepared and plentiful. I had more than enough and was able to share the extra. The rest of our table ordered the chili relleno (roasted green chile filled with grilled chicken, crispy bacon, oaxaca & cheddar cheese, cilantro & christmas chile), blue corn enchilada (stacked enchilada with blue corn tortillas, oaxaca & cheddar cheese, and red chile), truffle fries (with rosemary roasted garlic aioli dipping sauce) and smoked trout deviled eggs (organic eggs, house smoked trout, and pickled jalapeños). Staff super nice and food great!

Great crowd, food was okay. Location was great. The food was relatively okay, the menu is limited. The appetizer menu is less than substantial.

Considered one of the finest restaurants in Taos we made reservations for 4 for Christmas Day.
The restaurant was packed. It is divided into small rooms thus extremely tight. The heater seemed to be on high & coupled with a shared bottle of wine plus
drinks it literally became a boiling furnace. Way too hot !

The food was not excellent but good . Portions are small and definitely not shareable . Everything on the menu is pricy including drinks and wine. Service was very good and very nice-even though one of the waitresses got a little snotty when asked if one of the menu items was spicy.

If you’re hungry this is not the place.
If you have mobility issues stay away-dining spaces are intricate and very tight.

More hype than anything else
Reservations a must.
