This restaurant was delicious. We had the heirloom tomato salad, the trout and the posole. It is a shame that it is closing next month.

Beautiful late summer dinner on the patio with a great view of the mountains as the sun set.

Two special appetizers / Share dishes were outstanding. 4-5 different Heirloom tomatoes with a very mild goat cheese and local green bean dish were out of this world. The Tamale de Cardenas, pork Tamale in a hatch green chili 'soup' was unique & delicious. Don't miss it. The special peach ice cream dessert was marvelous.

Good selection of beer & wine (no hard liquor). The inside dining looked very nice as well.

Don't miss this restaurant in this historical building when you're in Taos!

Thank Daniel H

We so enjoyed our evening at El Meze. The view of the mountains is incredibly beautiful and the food was superb. We were told the restaurant is closing soon (owners are retiring I think) so try to catch a visit while they are still open.

We went to this restaurant expecting great food with beautiful views. We got the views as advertised. There were four of us eating on this perfect September evening. After reviewing the menu, two of us had the Trout which was excellent and two of us shared the 12 ounce New York cut steak which was prepared medium rare as we requested. The steak was very flavorable, but it was not at all tender. It came with french fries (frites) which were well seasoned. We shared the jamon appetizer which was very well prepared. We found the menu extremely limited with only five large plate entrees. The two daily specials were both salads. I found this food selection very dissapointing.

This is a wonderful romantic evening with a incredible view of the Taos Mountains. The sunset was divine. The food and wine were top notch, 5 star quality. Loved every moment of the evening. They told us they are closing in October 2017. GO THERE BEFORE IT CLOSES! You won't regret it!
