“If you have but one stop...”
Reviewed 7 February 2012

make it the Millicent Rogers. This excellent museum in a large home (allow about 1.5-2 hours) is an excellent introduction to the grasping of the complexities of Northern New Mexico, a land rich in history and the interplay of many cultures.

“Probably the best Taos museum”
Reviewed 4 February 2012

This museum has a great collection of art and artifacts from Milicent Rogers, a Taos socialite and artist. The collection includes jewelery, pottery, wood carvings, and more. The museum is in a former home donated to hold the collection, and is very enjoyable to wander through. A $25 pass gives you access to five museums in Taos, so the cost is pretty low. If you have time for only one museum in Taos, go to this one.
