This was on our list of sights to see on our Rte 66 sojourn. It was a bit hard to locate but well worth the stop. The water is crystal clear. as a result of a major aquifer surfacing in the middle of the dessert. It is not surface fed water, but rather fed by deep underground caves. A very nice maintained park surrounds the tiny lake.We stopped and enjoyed the view. Let the kids loose to unwind. Also area to picnic. There is a beach area, but we did not go swimming. A recommended stop for stretching your legs and breathing in some fresh desert air before heading on down the road.

I had passed through here before at night and really wanted to see the blue hole. This time we got to stop! This place is really cool and the water is beautiful! I'd like to go back once it has warmed up to actually get in it. It is definitely worth the stop because it is such an interesting little part of nature.

the water is assure blue and is just a few minutes from our hotel. It was a quick site to see and didn't take any time out of our schedule.

We did not get in the water, but glad we stopped to see it. The deep hole with perfectly clear water must be great for diving, or just swimming. Worth getting off the interstate to visit.

We heard about the Blue Hole from a fellow traveler in Albuquerque who said we had to see it. Just right off interstate 40 In Santa Rosa. Very pretty and blue. There were scuba divers training that we watched. Amazing. Great spot for a picnic area also and not crowded.
