A fantastic place to spent your holiday
Tents are clean, Food is Good.
Staff is friendly. Great waterhole, fantastic game drives
Absolutely great guides.
Ralf Niezen and Raymond were our guide and tracker. Raymond is such a fantastic tracker. He knows the wild.
Ralf is a true guy. He is an expert, has a lot of knowledge, explaines the animal behaviour in a way everybody can understand. He communicates, keeps you safe. He talks about the animals trees plants you see while driving. Lets me feel a part of the bush.
Not only the big 5 but he tells about little things. You get in touch with the bush. Places it in a bigger picture. Also he is a Nice Guy has lot of stories to tell. Makes sure you have a great sighting. Have time to take a photo.
I could feel his love and passion for the bush.
I have travelled a lot in Africa but he is one of the best guides i ever had
Ralf, thank you, i think you are one of the best guides i have ever seen.
It was a pleasure meeting you.

We really enjoyed our stay at the camp, the accommodation, the food, the staff and the guides were excellent. The excitement and the enthusiasm of our guide showed during the game drives was refreshing, he always tried to get us in the best position for photographs. I highly recommend this for a true tented safari experience.

This was our third trip to Shindzela and we hope to return. Shindzela is an extremely well-run, efficient "camp" with excellent staff. Everyone makes you feel welcome and they work hard to make sure everything is perfect and to exceed your expectations. HIGHLY recommended if you want a truly awesome safari experience. Guides are excellent, their tracking abilities are amazing, and their knowledge is vast. They are true professionals, love their jobs, and take pride in their work. I always learn something new which I greatly appreciate. A huge thank you to all of the staff and a special thanks to Super Sam for another memorable experience.

It was our first experience with the wild in Kruger and we count ourselves real lucky to be able to catch an almost extinct pangolin right near shindzela camp on our first drive! Special thanks to ranger jacob and tracker raymond for fulfilling our dream to catch THE BIG 5 within our 3-nights stay! They are the best we can ever ask for - especially jacob who loves the nature so much it's infectious! Now back home in Singapore, I am still reminiscing the wonderful memories of our adventures of chasing after the leopard, being cornered by the elephants in 2 nights and catching a tango dance of a clumsy hippo in the bush! Pity we had to rush off on the last morning!!!

Room Tip: Try to be at tent nearest to pond where herds of elephants and buffaloes would head to and have a chance to watch them from your bed!

Traveling with a group of 10 friends and family members, we spent four nights at Shindzela. We had previously spent 11 nights elsewhere in Greater Kruger, and had had many animal sightings. At Shindzela, we wanted to see different types of animal behaviors/situations, and that is what we saw. For example, we watched 1) a pack of wild dogs at their den; 2) a hippo trying to scare us away (the hippo stayed in the water, and displayed several behaviors indicating his unhappiness with our presence); 3) several lionesses lounging and moving lazily about; 4) a very, very small baby elephant toddling along as its mother prodded it with her tusks and trunk. Johan, our guide, responded very positively to our informing him that we did not want a "Ferrari safari" -- racing around trying to find one animal, and then quickly leaving that sighting in search of another animal. He provided explanations or commentary when appropriate, but also would let us sit in the vehicle in extended silence when we were in the presence of animals. He also maneuvered the vehicle so that we did not spook the animals, but did provide us with excellent viewing.
In camp, we watched from the lounge or from our accommodations as various animals animals visited the waterhole: elephant, baboons, impala, kudu, and buffalo.
Altogether, thanks in large part to Johan, we had a great stay at Shindzela, and would be happy to return.
