My husband and I stayed at Dulini as part of our honeymoon in South Africa in Dec. It was absolutely perfect! Everything is taken care of in Dulini. Everytime we stepped out of the room, housekeeping would tidy up – even if we had only used a hand towel. You don’t even have to bother to order a meal. This property is popular with honeymooners and couples so they go to great lengths to give you privacy. At all times outside of the Safari, they make you feel like you are the only ones there! There are only 6 suites and each one has a living room, bedroom, shower, tub, outdoor shower and private plunge pool. The rest of the Lodge is open to the wild and we saw some Impala graze nearby while we were chilling on our deck. Keep in mind that it is the wild so there will be spiders and lizards living on your pool deck.
We had a personal butler "Reply" who took very good care of us - Leaving hand written notes for us every time we went out. The Safari experience was amazing. Our ranger William and tracker Isaac were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, reassuring and accommodating. They made sure each one us us got to see what we wanted to and that the Safari was super fun. They went to great lengths to ensure we got to see the Big 5 up close. Look out for sun-downers where they set up a makeshift bar right in the middle of the reserve and toast to the day!
Since we were on our honeymoon, on the first night they set us a private candle lit dinner in the wine cellar. On the next night, when we got back from the evening safari, our room was decorated with candles and a bottle of champagne and dinner was served in our suite. We could not have asked for a more perfect place to start our honeymoon. It was beautiful, luxurious, warm and peaceful and fully worth the money we spent!
