A truly mind blowing experience, we were spoilt rotten with wonderful food and wine, surrounded by the Sabi Sands reserve.

This was our second visit here, the first being over nine years ago, but just as fantastic!
We stayed four nights, so had 8 drives. Mike was our ranger for every drive. The trackers were changed three times, so we didn't really get to know them, although they were all knowledgeable and good at what they did.
All the drives were simply amazing. The "big 5" were seen before the third drive! The tracker had a difficult job because of the long grass and all the vegetation, but still he managed to spot the animals in the distance. The rangers are able to drive off road in Sabi Sands, unlike Kruger, so Mike did his very best and put his driving skills to use a couple of times for us to have that slightly better view of the animals, without being too intrusive for them.
The lodge itself was just as good as the last time, rooms are very clean and comfortable. Mosquito nets are provided, as well as insect repellent "plug ins" and sprays. The air conditioning was most welcome!
Food was very good, the chef and kitchen staff take great pride in their work. The menu was different every night and included African dishes as well as European. Breakfasts are also very good.
I loved everything about this place, and will not be leaving it nine years before I return again!

Idube was amazing. Enjoyed getting into the bush, no matter what the terrain is liked to see all the animals. The lodge/room was beautiful, food exceptional and the staff wonderful. A must visit!!

While the lodge was nice, we much preferred their sister lodge, Lukimbi in Kruger. You're guaranteed good sightings at the private reserves, but we didn't think our guide was as invested in making the trip special for us (such as working hard to give us relevant information or set us up for good photos in the vehicle). No matter how nice the lodge and rooms are, the safari experience really determines the overall quality of the trip.
