“Informative docent and interesting home”

Historical Center for Southeast New Mexico
Reviewed 14 October 2017

I stopped here at the suggestion of one of the visitor center folks. I am glad I did. This was one of Roswell's early "mansions" and is filled with period pieces. Additionally, they rotate exhibits of the area. The lady that showed me through was very informed on the early days and had many interesting stories. The movie was great, so don't miss that. Free, but donate to keep it going;)

We were able to get a partially guided tour with some of the history of the house and family. Great local historical house with some original artifacts. Worth seeing

We had been shown the house during the UFO tour so decided to come back and go inside. It was free to enter and once in Amy, who was on duty gave us a personal tours and lecture about the house and its history. We felt so welcome. As well and the house and its contents there is a short video presentation as well. When we left Amy presented us with a gift containing information and treats! A wonderful hour and a half in great company. Thanks Amy from a couple of English visitors.

We had limited time so it ws a quick visit. The house is well kept and interesting. The hostess is very well informed and welcoming - one of the many very nice people we met in Roswell.
