Staying at Rancho Magdalena is not only top-class accommodation but a complete experience. Lori and Lee did everything and more to make us feel welcome, and though we were only staying for one night, we felt as if we got so much out of it. The location is amazing, the real wild New Mexico in a fascinating part of the state. Lori and Lee told us many stories about the surroundings, the people and their stay here over the years. It was so rewarding and we felt as if we had really visited here, not just passed through. The room was super-cosy with a beautiful big bathroom, one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, and an outrageous delicious breakfast. This place is really one of a kind, and a gateway into getting to know New Mexico for real. Our one night at Rancho Magdalena will stay with us for a long time to come, thanks to the amazing hospitality, gracious generosity and kind sharing of our hosts. We cannot recommend this place highly enough if you are looking for a real experience, this is something you could never get by staying in a hotel. Thank you!! PS. Heading out on the 60 down to Pie Town is highly recommended, beautiful drive and incredible pies!

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful, with amazing views. None have fridges or coffee making, but it is all provided by the hosts.

Clean air, clear skies, 360-degree views of pristine Western land, the Milky Way at night, beautiful rooms, warm hosts, memorable breakfasts, and morning tea or coffee at your door. Easy access to the Very Large Array astronomy center, hiking trails, horseback riding, bird watching at the Bosque Del Apache refuge, and historical sites of the old West. This was my second visit here, a 3-night stay to de-stress and rejuvenate. Success!

Lori and Lee are delightful hosts. Lee is a great story teller, ask Lori about her connections with rock and roll in her youth. Stayed in the Mustang Room, cozy and comfortable. Coffee/tea left outside the room before breakfast. Breakfast is hearty, served at 8:30.

We only had one night at Rancho Magdalena but for sure we would love to come back and spend more time there. The hosts are super friendly and welcoming. We loved the room with an open Kiva Fireplace and we loved the fresh coffee put in front of our door at 7am. The breakfast was by far the best we had travelling around for 1 week in New Mexico. Thank you.
