They work on honor system, i.e. do not take credit card information in advance. Mom & pop operation. We travel about half the year in our recreation vehicle so know good campgrounds when we find one. This one met all the high bars for friendliness, cleanliness, nice settings which includes a river along north edge. Chama is the location of the Cumbres Toltec Railroad with track along the CO & NM border with outstanding amenities, scenery (mountain & plains) with a dining hall half way between their other station in Antonito, CO. Cumbres Toltec is the finest example of narrow gauge, mountain steam railroading in the country.

This was my first time staying in an RV Park, and it was a very pleasant experience. Our space was on the river and offered a very scenic back drop for visiting with friends and family. The owner was very nice and helpful. The property was clean and inviting. I would recommend this park. Bring your fishing pole.

Beautiful property on the river. We were lucky enough to get a spot on the river and we watched other campers catch trout each day. Very friendly owner, very quiet, level spot, very clean, lots of trees, a dog run - what more could you want? We loved it and will return.

We stayed here im a 45 foot 5er. Pull throughs with lots of room. Small but charming park. Sites are gravel. Easy in and out for us. Nice fenced dog area. Friendly owners. Well maintained. We will return.

We had planned a trip to Chama months ago but literally hours before we left hurricane Irma turned the trip into an evacuation. This RV park is newer and still being improved. Bill is always out on site doing something to keep improving grounds. Level sites, beautiful surroundings ripe for exploring. Perfect for distracting you from things you have no control over. At just under 8000 ft. of elevation we expect NO tidal surge here. River sites are incredible, next time we will reserve one!
