We stayed in the pull in, river front sites. They are set up for motor homes. Every morning we woke up to the sound and sight of the river rushing directly out our windshield. The park does not have pavement nor any concrete sites. But the river makes up for the lack of amenities.

Stayed: May 2018

Staff is rude. Bathrooms are in an old crappy trailer, NO LAUNDRY FACILITIES. Only one dump station that is insanely hard to get to. We have a 34' motorhome... not even that big... and it was ridiculous. We were a late arrival (I had an interview in Santa Fe and I called to let them know we would be late. We arrived and the old man that owns the place came out of his craptastic little trailer to open the gate. He looked annoyed that we somehow did not magically know to look for our paperwork taped to the office door. Silly me. We will not stay here again.

Very clean campground next to river and tracks for Cumbres-Toltec RR. Quiet (train only runs twice daily). Close to cute little tourist town. Lots of trees. Has railroad theme with vintage cars to look at. People running the place were very nice.

We were only going to stay overnight but ended up staying 2 we liked it so much.

Showers/restrooms are in a trailer and they were about like every other RV park bathrooms. Good water pressure to shower.

The residents all go to bank of river and wave as trains go in/out. Pretty adorable.

We would've stayed longer if we could, rates were reasonable, worth the visit.

We stayed here for 4 days. Our spot was right on the bank of the Rio Chama river. It was so beautiful and relaxing. The Cumbres & Toltec Steam Train goes by twice a day. The depot and town are within walking distance from the campground. The Rio Chama RV Park was full all four days of our stay. So I would recommend advance reservations.

What a delightful find on our way to Taos. The staff was friendly and conscientious and we had a beautiful spot within feet of the Rio Chama. It was great to wake up to the sound of the river, see deer wander the campsite, and enjoy a spot reserved for adults only. I wish we would have had our dogs with us - they would have LOVED the dog run.
