We stayed here 2 times - in November 2012 and May 2014. Both times we were completly pleased with the service, rooms and diving. Sometimes,if it's too many people in resort, the sevice in the restraunt can be not very fast. In this case you have to order, go to the swimming pool and have a rest. Come back in 30 mjinutes and eat your launch. There is no need to wait on the table and worry.
The level of guiding is really cool! The local guide John knows all places and will give you any advices about what you can see and wher.

My girlfriend and I had just completed our Open Water Course somewhere else in Bali and wanted to dive the Liberty Wreck in Tulamben.

We booked a room and intended to dive the day after with Liberty Dive Resort.

The dive started with very limited information about the site, the gear, the dive plan and safety.
When we got to the beach, we checked the engraving on our tanks to see when they were checked (by law they should be checked every 5. year for safety by a 3. party). The last check of the tanks we was performed in 2008, meaning the tanks expired 4 years ago and therfore not safe.

We immediately pointed it out to our dive instructor, who brushed it off as insignificant. We obviously did not agree, as it was a matter of our safety - life and death. After a discussion, the dive instructor picked up two tanks that were OK.

After this incident we checked out the following day and found the best dive center in Tulamben around the corner (Aqua life Bali) and did our Advanced Open Water course.

Visiting Tulamben has alway been in my mind. This solo trip is a birthday present from my husband. I have done my research and I decided to stay at Libery Dive Resort.
It was a good decision in all account. A solitude experience is what I had in mind.
The moment I arrived in the resort, I was welcomed by a friendly team. To my surprise they upgraded my accommodation.
Anxious for diving experience, I asked them numerous questions about diving arrangement. To my surprise, everything are easy to arrange and tailored to my needs. The next morning I woke up early to meet my diving guide. Eka is a very calm and friendly guide. For some one who hasn't dive that much, he led me one step at a time and accustomed myself to Tulamben water. First dive was at the liberty shipwreck. Visibility was good. 45 minutes went by very fast. Second dive on the same day took place at Coral garden. Another breathtaking experience. Eka helped me to calm down under water anxiety.
The next day I had a special request for the dive. I would like to have some wordings printed and laminated to be brought underwater and to have some pictures taken with it.
The staffs were very helpful. They helped me to have the words print out, laminated and ready to be taken on my last dive. Eka took some snaps and video. I had a rounded experience just like what I had in mind.
The whole accommodation and atmosphere complete my expectation. I enjoyed the room that is very spacious and clean. Only me, my books, my music and a friendly chat here and there with the big friendly family of this resort.
