My boyfriend and I were in desperate need for a nice affordable place to stay after a disappointing airbnb experience just a couple of houses down. We got to Meriki and were greeted by the very friendly Dutch man behind the reception and told us there were rooms still available.
He took us in and showed us to our spacious room, fully equipped with AC, fridge, watercooker, fresh linen and towels. Also, the rooms get sprayed every night against the mosquitoes.
Unfortunately that night there was a leakage to the waterboiler so we didn't have warm water to shower, but it was fixed the next day.
I did have some trouble sleeping though, mainly because of the bed creaking, and the AC that was blowing into our faces, but the owner said we could have another room, this time by the poolside. It was so great to have such flexibility.

For the rest, we had a lovely stay here, it's very quiet, but still very central. We rented a motorbike from the owner too, so it was easy for us to get around. Like I said, very friendly and attentive owner and family who also suggested us places to go to, have nice chats asking about our day etc.
All in all, yes of course there is always room for improvement, especially maintaining a big place in a humid place like Bali for 10 years things tend to break or chip, but immediate efforts were made to make guests feel welcome here.

Thank you Hans, Ari and the kids for your kind hospitality. We wish you all the best and are definitely coming back the next time we stay in Seminyak

Room was large, with nice spacious bathroom, slept perfect.
Close to the main streets of seminyak where we found all the bars and restaurants,
Dutch owner speaks multiple languages and is always willing to give tips.

We loved our stay and will definitly be back !!

-Meriki is located in Drupadi Street, so close to Camplung Tanduk Street and Kayu Aya Street.

-The bedroom was clean and comfort.
-Bathroom was new and clean.
-Good hot/cold shower.

-Swimming pool is available, although it's not big.
-Toiletries and linen provided.
-Wi-Fi was good.

-When I came in the dormitory room, my eyes were hurt because of the dormitory room was just being painted a few week ago, the owner said, and the room was closed until I came it was opened.
-Mosquitoes in the bedroom at night although I had sprayed the room with the anti-mosquitoes spray.
-The swimming pool water was a little bit dirty because the water filter did not work or maybe did not being switched on (I didn't know the reason), so I did not use the swimming pool.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back yard more silent.

Our appartment was spacious with the shower and toilet half outside (attached to the appartment), which we liked. The interior looks a bit old, like a lot of homestays. It was reasonable clean and good wifi.
Very quiet, we slept very well.
Breakfast was just enough (also like most places that we have been to).
Late check-out costs half a night extra, or you can store your luggages and relax at the pool.
The owner is Dutch and can advise some Nice restaurants around

Very large and clean rooms even with a small kitchenette. We loved the garden with the refreshing pool. Although you're in the middle of seminyak it's very peaceful here. Breakfast was simple but good enough for us. Staff was very friendly and let us stall our bags for some weeks.
