“Close to everything but so quiet”

Our first time to Seminyak and this villa ticked all the boxes. Everything we needed in a villa, multiple bedrooms great living area and a pool. This villa is so close to everything, we felt very comfortable letting our teenage kids walk to the shops. Helena the host was very helpfully and always available if we needed her.

“Comfortable Villa with a Living Area that can be air-conditioned”
Reviewed 1 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

The first thing I would say about Villa Masura is ignore the directions on Trip Advisor, they are rubbish! The Villa is near (north) of Seminyak Square and a little difficult to find. You need to go to Kasava Restaurant at the western end of Jalan Kayu Cendana and enter the Gang Yudistira beside it (go to the end and left, right, left and you are there (about 250m of Gang to traverse) That out of the way, the villa was very comfortable with 2 large bedrooms opening to outdoor bathrooms and a 3rd bedroom we used for our teenage Niece. The 3rd bedroom is a single but has no direct access to the bathrooms, no biggie but something to be aware of. All bedrooms are air conditioned. The living area is all glassed in, tiled throughout, kept very clean (as was the whole villa) and opens up to the pool area with a nice size pool and a largish garden area surrounding it. Access to the carport is very tight but you could park a car and/or motor bikes. We just used transports and taxi's while we were there and usually walked up the Gang to Kasava to get taxi's. There were 4 adults, a teenager and a baby for our stay and nothing was too much trouble for the Manager (Helena who is always contactable via a mobile phone at the Villa) and staff, even getting rid of some wildlife(squirrels we think) that were frequenting the roof-space at night. We had one power outage during our stay and the Manager got someone out within an hour to fix the problem. Because we had a baby with us,we wanted to be able to have an air-conditioned area during the day and the large living area can be closed up and kept cool during the day, provided you put the blinds down and open up the bedrooms to help the one air cond unit discharging directly into the living area from the kitchen. The Manager also organised a cot for the baby for a small fee and even a child seat for the transport to and from the airport. The Villa comes with a drinking water dispenser and large fridge which was great. The kitchen is small and functional and our only complaint was there was no microwave. There is one TV in the living area but programming is via the WiFi only. However, the WiFi was consistently good. Cassava Restaurant at the top of the Gang is a nice little restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner, with great staff and they will even deliver meals to the Villa. We used this service for our Niece when she was baby sitting. All in all a very comfortable stay, and I happily recommend Villa Masura.

Thankyou Anna, Helena and Staff

Thank you for your great review, Philip. Happy you enjoyed your stay in villa Masura! Thanks also for the directions tip: the system wont let me input the correct address so I always send a pinpoint via googlemaps and Helena can always meet the guests outside if need! Kassava is a good meeting point. Thanks!
