We were pleasantly surprised with this fairly new and modern restaurant , adjacent to the Wine tasting centre on the historic Vergelegen Wine Estate in Somerset West. It was jam packed for Saturday lunch on a sunny winters day and we fortunately got the last seat on the veranda! The service was swift and the meals really delicious . I do recommend that one makes a reservation ! The view up the wine yards towards the mountain was also really splendid. And the nearby children's play area a nice surprise! It has a covered pergola for supervising parents, a tartan runway along the man made water stream and the most adorable wooden miniatures of snails, sheep and even a tractor on the lawn under the trees, which offers nice photo opportunities.
