This was our second time staying at the Tarragon and we loved it just as much as before. The whole family stayed for a birthday celebration, the adjoining cottages accommodated all 10 of us and worked perfectly. Mark and his team do everything to ensure a comfortable stay and this, together with the beautiful surroundings, made for another wonderful holiday.

The Tarragon is a superb property set at the back of table mountain, overlooking picturesque Hout Bay. We spent 3 days in the Saffron & Ivy cottages in early Feb 2012 and we found this to be an ideal location from which to explore Cape Town and surrounding areas. The cottages were of a very good size with large walk-in showers and modern kitchens. Each cottage also has its own private terrace with sun-loungers and outdoor dining table. The property also features a lovely swimming pool as well as a BBQ/braai and entertainment area, all set amongst immaculately kept gardens in a relaxing, peaceful setting. Mark & Julia were extremely welcoming and gave us great advice on things to do in the area. Simply put, if you're looking for somewhere to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but within easy reach of everything the Cape Town area has to offer, look no further than the Tarragon!
Thanks Mark & Julia and all the staff for a hugely enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Pick from 5 cottages. Saffron and Jasmine are the smaller cottages best for couples.

We stayed at Tarragon (Angelica) for one week in November 2011. There was plenty of space inside and out for the children to play, a lovely pool all with great views. The accommodation was clean and very welcoming. All the rooms and bathrooms were very spacious and kitchen had everything you might need. The children (aged 3&2) thought the extensive toy cupboard, swings and pool were the best bits!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and our rooms were serviced immaculately every day.

The location was perfect and we were pleasantly surprised by all that Hout Bay had to offer, lovely beach, restaurants, shops, markets and animal parks.

Highly recommend staying here. We will certainly be returning in the not too distant future.

We stayed at The Tarragon (Jasmine), for three days in January 2012. The accommodation was perfect, lovely gardens and pool, large bedroom and bathroom and well equipped kitchen. The views from the gardens were fabulous, and the location is ideal for visiting Cape Town and the many great places on the Cape. We would recommend the Tarragon in every respect. Thanks from Rosemary and John.

The Tarragon offers the perfect relaxing hide-out, away from the bustle of more urban areas, yet it is only 5 minutes from restaurants and shops.Book early, as there are just 5 detached cottages. Many people like us feel the location couldnt be bettered. The views and tranquility are life-restoring , and the large family pool is a perfect sun-warmed temperature, very clean and well- maintained daily. There is a winding road down to Hout Bay, so a car is necessary, There is a jungle gym for children set among pine trees and some room for football ..

Room Tip: Choose from 2 to 5 person cottages, each detached .
