We were introduced to this gem of a place, during a wine-lands tour, by the cousin of one of our party.

Although the day was hot and we were seated in the garden, the shade was adequate for us to eat without discomfort from the sun. We shared a very well-stocked platter of Italian meats, followed by our host's recommendation of the excellent fish. All washed down by inexpensive wines by the glass (although I did purchase a couple of bottles - call 'In My Bed' of all things, to take away for later).

Service was efficiently performed by a smiling server, who certainly earned her tip.

This is a place not to be missed!

This is the 5th time we have had lunch at B&W. It was for the 5th time a great experience. There is something Provençal about the setting and ambience. You feel utterly relaxed from the moment you sit down to the red I even you leave.

I had one of the most delicious starters I can remember, namely the " Tabbouleh salad, buffalo mozzarella blancmange"

Their soufflés are also right up in the premiership.

The service and attention to detail is brilliant. The service is attentive without being overbearing.

By chance we had the good fortune to talk to the Chef and hisco-owner and they gave us a quick tour of the kitchens, the smokers and the chilling unit holding his salamis etc. I am not a chef but it all looked pretty much state of the art to me! We can't thank him and his wife enough for the generosity of their time - it was also very clear that they are inordinately proud of their operation, and rightly so.

PS Morrisons wine is truly delicious.

Delightful setting for the bistro, sheltered by trees but with the backdrop of neatly tended gardens and the mountains beyond. The charcuterie and cheese platter provided a perfect lunch and, of course, an opportunity to sample some of their wines by way of accompaniment.

We were visiting the Franschhoek area from the UK and had lunch at Bread and Wine.

The relaxed ambiance was just what was called for on a sunny Saturday lunch time. We had an excellent lunch, served by a very friendly staff, accompanied by some lovely wine.

The menu catered well for all tastes, and our meals came well presented and we felt we're good value.

Highly recommended

Glorious meal in a delightful setting! Staff was fantastic - attentive, friendly and engaging. I could go on and on about the food - just know that it's amazing. The dining area makes you forget about time and the outside world - I didn't want to leave. It's a "must do" if in the area!
