We have eaten here twice on our trip to J'Bay - night 1: when we sat down we did feel a little pressured into the two most expensive things on the menu - the seafood platter and the most expensive bottle of wine. We both opted for our own dish - I chose the linefish which was supposed to come with veggies and mash but arrived without any veggies - a huge disappointment. The wine was great - although we opted for the cheaper white on the menu rather than the most expensive they had recommended. Night 2: The manager came to our table and once again pushed the most expensive wine on the menu. We ordered the soup which arrived without spoons and no one was paying attention so we sat for a few minutes before flagging someone down. Then our main dishes arrived...The filet was cooked to order but the side portion of veggies was meager at best. For dessert the icecream with chocolate sauce was delicious but also arrived with no spoon... what a tease! All in all it is a good restaurant but seems to have a few kinks it needs to work out.
