We had been spending the day driving around back roads when we came across Wagonhouse Winery and decided to stop for a glass of wine. Nicole came over to wait on us and explain about the wines and she was a pure delight. We thoroughly enjoyed talking with her. The wine was delicious and the winery quaint and romantic. We look forward to going back.

A group of four of us stopped in for a tasting, and all I can say is go someplace else. We decided on the tasting of all 21 wines for $13 each, not bad, right? Wrong. They tell us because it’s 21 wines we only get a quarter ounce pour of each. I should have left then because you can’t get a decent taste of the wine with a quarter ounce pour. Well,we stayed and it took over 45 minutes to get four wines. Horribly under staffed. Add to that the four wines we tried were awful, a Chardonnay, a Vidal blanc, a red blend and a merlot. All were weak, no substance and very bitter. The time between pours was ridiculous. Save your money for another winery.

It is not that the wine was bad, the “pours” were so small you couldn’t even taste the wine. We have been visiting wineries for 30 years. This winery is the only we have ever visited which had the “server” walk from around the bar, placed a “splash” in your glass and walk away. She never explained about the wine, just gave us the name of it. As bad an experience we had, the couple next to us had 3 employees stop to explain but we were four splashes in before they even got a sample. They do offer food but this was not explained until we were almost finished. We would have to even think about giving them another chance, especially at the cost.

After hearing a tasting was $10 a person, we then noticed how tinie tiny the pours were and opted to just buy a glass for $7.50. That pour was also VERY small. I dont think they are trying to win new customers. The merlot was pretty good, but we moved on to the next winery pretty quickly after we finished our little cup of wine i tend to buy at least one bottle, but had no inclination to here.

Beautiful Atmosphere! Beautiful People! Great Wine Tasting!
When they first opened the wine was priced at an affordable price, that you were able to buy several bottles of the ones you loved. Now, a few years later, it's almost insane how much they are charging for the same exact wine I wish them luck because they are such great people, but they have out priced me from buying their delicious wine
