On a long drive from Colonial Williamsburgh, pulled off at Swedesboro, NJ to gas up. Opting for dinner used Trip Advisor snd Waze to find a nearby spot. Although 2.5 miles off I-295, it was worth the trip. Used Open Table to get a confirmed reservation 20 minutes later. Hot there with five minutes to spare and was promptly and comfortably seated. Our waitress, Rachel, presented herself after a busboy delivered water and hot bread. A small plate containing a slab of butter immersed in seasoned olive oil accompanying the bread was absolutely delicious. Two main courses were ordered promptly. The waitress accepted a modification from me on a haddock special. That was equally delicious served with an orange sauce over risotto and baby asparagus. Can’t comment on dessert as we promptly needed to resume our trip yet 2 hours + from home. In short, a lucky find! Given the full dining room and outer barroom, it’s no secret to the locals.
