The food here is sooo good that it makes me want to re-rate prior reviews lower to give proper due to A Taste of Greek’s 100% deserved five star rating. This restaurant seemingly does its best to hide from customers - tucked into a nondescript strip mall with low lighting that make it hard to tell if it is even open - no matter though, it is always packed because the food is universally and unequivocally AMAZING!!! We’ve visited four times in the past few months and are hooked - our only sadness is all the meals we have missed out on in the past!

On to the food - grilled zucchini - best we’ve ever had. Fried eggplant - ditto. Gyro with steak... perfect. Fish specials, light, flaky, fresh. Greek salad with all platters - nice touch. Complementary pita - hard not to eat to much. One time we had to wait 30 minutes for our table which was not great (with kids in tow), but the restaurant totally redeemed itself with complementary bowls of delicious chicken soup on a cold night. Service is friendly and fast, food is phenomenal - AND it is BYO. The chef even comes out to say thank you and check on your experience. They could fill a space 3x the size with the quality of there experience - if you need an investor - call us!

Something for everyone. Really good food, family friendly. Can be crowded. Either make a reservation or call ahead for takeout. Limited beverage selection, limited parking. Otherwise it's all good.

A Taste of Greece is a small venue, a bit crowded, but the food is fine, and the staff made us feel quite at home. They are warm and chatty. Both times we have been there the service was courteous and caring. Food came out quickly and was appropriately hot. The parking lot is shared with other businesses and the entrance and exits come off busy streets at a stop light. That said, it is a good meal and worth these inconveniences.

We went on a Thursday night without reservations at 5:30pm and got lucky because the place was packed at 6pm. We had grilled octopus for appetizer which was delicious. We had lamb chops and the shrimp specials which was filling and tasty. Staff was attentive. We normally order out but it was phenomenal in person. The place only seats 25 so we will make reservations next time. Can’t wait to go back.

I was here last weekend after I read some great reviews about this place. Yes it's small and a a little cramped. The bottom line is who cares? I would have sat on the floor to eat my dinner. It was that good. The server Johanna was great. From the Greek salad to the chicken kebob and lamb chops, everything was amazing . The side dishes of veggies, rice and French fries were also unreal. The portions were big and it's a BYOB. I never go back to the same restaurant two weeks in a row. That just changed. I just called and booked A Taste of Greece again for this Saturday night. Who cares about turkey in 2 days. It's the best Greek found in Bergen County that I'm looking forward to this week,
