We were a party of 6 ladies for birthday dinner. Service is very attentive but not overbearing. Appetizers were delicious....love the Haloumi cigars and cauliflower app. I had the tortellini short rib special....it was amazing....friends had the ravioli which they said was good. its BYOB which is always good because it is pricey but worth it for special night out.

I liked it because it was different. Mediterranean and Turkish kind of embroiled in a culinary war. A lot of use of dates, sunchokes, spices, etc. . The couscous side, though homemade, was hard to swallow- very plain and sort of dry. We were four but received one piece of focaccia in the form of an elongated cruller. Tasty but not enough. Had to ask for another. A lot of veggie dishes. Gnocci with black truffles was delicious with plenty of black truffles. My lamb chops were tender with an imaginative sauce. Dessert of dates was delicious. An attractive restaurant with a nice staff.

We booked our reservation for a Friday night at 6:45 and were surprised to see a relatively empty restaurant! Diners seemed to fill in around 8 pm. Overall our experience was terrific. The staff was very attentive and knowledgable of the menu. We started with the pita and mixed spreads appetizer (hummus was great), and the special sweet potato latkas. Both were delicious. For our meal, two of us ordered the Jerusalem artichoke raviolis and cleaned our plates! It's almost impossible to describe the flavors, but what I can say is it was unforgettable. We also ordered the lamb chops, strip loin, and lamb kabobs. Everyone was satisfied with their meals and pleased with the unique spices and seasoning used throughout. It's not the cheapest meal, but it's definitely worth trying on a date night or special occasion!

Novo puts a slight spin on some fairly traditional Israeli/ Lebanese and Persian cuisine. It's not as unusual as their publicity - with the now required chef cult of personality - makes out, but it is well thought out. We would agree with other reviewers that it is slightly pricey but not ridiculous for the amount of detail in the food. However- we seem to be doing this a lot lately - what is it with the complaints about portion sizes too small? My lamb main was very filling. Throw in dessert and we were stuffed.
Service is quite smooth and the decor is definitely commensurate with trendy night out. Overall Novo really does succeed at what it tries to do - be an interesting, trendy, upscale place without being annoyingly self-conscious

This is an excellent restaurant but the food is a bit expensive for the quantity received. There were 5 of us and our bill with a $50 gift card was 275.00 before tip and this is a BYO. Not one of us had any left over food for the next days lunch. A special occasion but not a place to visit too often
