We went here kind of by accident as the first place we wanted to go was closed for the next 2 weeks, but that's ok. Saint location in Ocean Grove a few blocks from the beach and near the Great Auditorium. Beautiful area! We got seated as soon as we walked in the door and were greeted by some of the friendliest folks we've ever found in a shore town. PS, we live in another shore town, so the warm welcome was much appreciated. Our waitress greeted us with a truly warming smile and made us feel like old friends. Coffee and real hand made chocolate milk came out right away. My girls had their usual breakfast staples: eggs, pancakes, bacon etc. My wife and I shared the breakfast pizza and home fries. OMG! To die for, it was so good! The breakfast pizza is a flatbread with a bit of pest and then much of what got into an omelette: eggs, tomatoes, peppers, bacon, cheddar cheese. So, so delicious! Little chit chat about country music with our waitress, who had a Rascal Flatts jacket. We truly felt like old friends who had just met for the first time. Loved this place and highly recommend it!

and what a pizza it is!!! Flat bread topped with peppers, onions, tomatoes, bacon, scrambled eggs and cheese. A great way to start your day. Service was great and atmosphere was funky. This is a not to be missed place.

Attempted to have brunch at Starving Artist Restaurant in Ocean Grove NJ. Entered restaurant at 11:30 and placed our order. Approximately 10 minutes go by and we started to notice that other customers who came in after us were eating. We waited a few more minutes and called our waitress over. She asked us if we wanted anything else to eat or do we want our check! My wife and I were shocked and as we started to explain that we never got our food, she quickly asked us what we ordered. She was so confused! At about this time a couple sat down next to us and she took their order. Five minutes passed and they got their lunch, and we sat there stunned! No food for us. We asked the waitress what happened to our order, she replied I can't control how the kitchen gets the food out. She didn't care and was rude. We left and went to Sea Glass restaurant on Main Avenue and had a wonderful lunch with great service in a large and comfortable dining area.

The Starving Artist is on the small scale seating wise, but that is just on the inside. There is an abundace of seating on the porch and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the warmer weather.

Service is great, prices ranges are compatible to most all budgets. The food is oh so very tasty, and with alot of eye appeal. They are open for breakfast and lunch and I promise you leave with a tummy satisfied until past dinner time and usually one leaves with left oves as the servings are so generous.

Make a point of visiting The Starving Artist just once and you will find yourself becoming a faithful patron.

Great year-round for breakfast and lunch. New quiche specials everyday. Staff could not be more friendly or accomodating. Locals love it. Highly recommend.
