Clean, nice layout. The people working there are nice. Needs updating real bad. They could at least put a new toilet seat in room 317 and a one cup coffee maker in the room, also a new mattress and door locking system. Good location.

Room Tip: It is what it is.

We stayed at this location for the weekend. This hotel has free parking & the beach is only a 5 minute walk away. The room was a little outdated but we didn't spend much time hanging out in the room. The beds were decent & there were plenty of pillows. The two older ladies working the front desk are very sweet & helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The Pavilion is a great place to stay. It is centrally located that you can walk to most things. So close to the beach and boardwalk. The hotel rooms are a good size and the apartments are wonderful for familuies.

The Pavilion is a nice motel close to the boardwalk. The motel is somewhat dated, however, nothing that would spoil your stay here. If you are looking for "high end", then this is not the motel for you. Go check out Watson's or another place like that, however, you will spend a great deal more for sure.

Our room was clean and had two queen beds, a table, chairs, TV, dresser, etc.
The A/C was actually quiet which impressed me. I will not say what room so you don't take it from me if we wind up coming down at the same time. LOL The curtains keep out plenty of light so that helps in the morning when you want to sleep a bit longer.

We had no problem parking on the lot on the same side as the motel. When it came time to leave, we vacated our spot early so the next guest could come in and park. We opted for a meter on the same street once and then opted for the public parking the next time around as we did not have to be concerned about the meter running out although you can use the parking app.

Some other reviewer mentioned not being able to stay on the lot a bit longer. The motel has their regulations and when it is is time to go you should go.

We had plenty of towels. We always bring our own shampoo, etc. so it does not matter to us if what is left by the Pavilion is limited or on the small side. The bathroom was clean as well as the shower area.

It is nice to know you can find a room for a night or longer at the Pavilion. Sometimes, we will just come for the day, spend the night and leave the next day. Hard to find a place like that in OCNJ.

The Pavilion will give you a discount at their restaurant so you might want to take advantage of that perk. They have specials and mini week specials so check that out, too.

If you have kids and like being by the pool, then opt for the rooms closer to that area and maybe the ground floor. I think they charge a bit more for being on the ground near the pool. We opt to be a little further away to have more quiet.

There are chairs located on the decks overlooking the pool area. Be clear, smoking is allowed outside of the rooms. That could be a big inconvenience sitting on the deck and then someone comes and sits down and lights one up. There is no stopping that as only the rooms are no smoking. I wish the entire motel was smoke free and maybe soon that will happen. The smokers could go to the side of the building or on the street and still be right by the motel.

We will be returning as it is easy to get a room from the web or by calling unless they are booked. Call early (days or weeks ahead of time) especially during the summer months.

Room Tip: Away from the pool area if you want more quiet. Near the pool area if you want quick access to the p...

Have been staying here for years ,roughly 30 every labor day weekend. Rooms have never been good but location is good. Old owners were pleasant and hospitable. New owners appear to be greedy. Was told car would be towed an hour after after checkout if not moved on an off season monday with an over half empty parking lot. I could see moving the vehicle if it was a fri sat or even sunday.
They couldn't fill the place on a holiday weekend let alone a work night. We had to wait on laundry to be done to take showers as they did not have enough towels, but at least they were clean. Will never return.

We thank you for your feed back. We are sorry you were not satisfied with the new parking arrangements. We do not have as many spots available as in the previous years. Each guest is allotted one parking space during your stay here and asked to move at time of check out to make room for the next guest coming in. We are sorry you feel that is being greedy, But we feel it is being polite to make room for incoming guest. We do apologize for the shortage of towels, we had a full hotel and many of the guest took towels to the beach and pool and had not returned them, so that caused the shortage. We hope you will come back in the future.- Thanks you
