I stayed at this hotel for a big meeting.
High point: catering/food was well done and looked quite beautiful consistently. Service was also good in terms of the catering.
Low point: the shower in my room. The bathroom does look like it's been renovated not too long ago -- the floor and countertop look nice. The problem was my shower -- it was like the water coming in was coming in only or almost only from the hot side, so I suffered from burning hot water and a lack of pressure. I would try to adjust the temperature down, but it only went so far without the pull-out fixture going back in and making it no longer a shower. At dinner, one of the outer attendees commented on the same problem in his room.
The recurring comment was how it's really gone downhill since some of the longtime folks first started coming there. Our meeting is big, so overflow gets booked into other local hotels, but those booked elsewhere were happy with the change, even though it made logistics difficult.
Another attendee couldn't get her closet door open -- they had promised her to send someone up to fix, but they had never come (and she was there for 5 nights).
The restaurant/bar is fine, but it's a short list for a menu -- more like a bar menu with the addition a few large, expensive entrees. This makes you want to be sure not to go there more than one time because you've already ordered the one item you like.
The hotel is missing a convenience shop -- there's nowhere to buy a candy bar or diet de-caf item. Honestly, I stay 30-50 nights per year in hotels --every hotel I ever stay in has at least a small area where you can get something off of the check in desk if it doesn't have a full gift shop. The combination of this being missing along with the limited menu in the restaurant is a problem.
