I stayed at the Hyatt for one night on September 12th and found it to be a very nice hotel at a very convenient location. The staff was welcoming and check in was swift. The room was very clean (although I did notice a good size cobweb high up in a far corner) and the room size was well above average. The bed was very comfortable. I booked the room through Hotwire for $65.00, which really was an incredible steal because the overall accommodations were worth more than twice that amount. The only caution I have is that if you get a room facing the New Jersey turnpike you will definitely hear the traffic. It was not loud enough to keep me awake, and I’m a pretty light sleeper, but on occasion a tractor- trailer would blow its horn and that was a bit startling. But, don’t let that dissuade you; I’m certain that rooms on the side opposite the NJT are much quieter. In fact, it might be a good idea to request a room on the opposite side at check in. In any event, it looks like it would be hard to go wrong at this hotel. .

This is a nice hotel and within walking distance of some good restuarants, bars and amenities. The staff was courteous, the rooms were clean and the bed were comfortable. Overall, good experience.

Stayed there a couple of times (out of necessity), most recently, Jul. '08.
True, it's a nice hotel etc. but you have to be ready to be squeezed with (outrageous) surcharges. Parking FOR HOTEL GUESTS =$13.00 Daily(other places - FREE). Internet Wifi $10.00 again most other classier hotels, it's complimentary.

If you need to stay in New Brunswick, the Hyatt Regency is hands down your best choice. It is very centrally located, within walking distance of the train station, as well as many restaurants and bars. Even if you need to go to the other side of the Rutgers campus (which isn't within walking distance), a cab ride will cost less than $10.

The hotel recently underwent a huge renovation, and the results are stunning. The lobby and restaurant are extremely modern with a very open layout - my only complaint being that the elevators are slightly out of the way and can be difficult to find if it is your first stay. The rooms are clean, and have also been renovated. They are extremely roomy, and the plasma tvs are a nice touch. I was surprised that there was no hair dryer in the bathroom. The beds are extremely comfortable and the room was very quiet and we heard no outside noise.

The staff was helpful, but not overly friendly. You do have to pay for overnight parking, but if you ask to pay in advance when you check into the hotel, it will only cost $6 instead of $13.
