This one time restaurant at the corner of 24 and Prospect Street in Madison has a long stored reputation. We happened to dine with family members on a Sunday evening. The restaurant is easily accessed with ample parking in the rear and street side. On busy evenings, such as Friday or Saturday's reservations are a must. Service is very good, however, slow. There is no rushing here. Which is fine. Soft lighting and live piano on Friday nights make for a lovely evening. The menu features long time Italian favorites and one of our party exclaimed that the rigatoni with baccala was exactly like his late Mother's. What a compliment. The prices I felt were in keeping with the current rate, as there is something for everyone's taste, whether it pasta, fish, veal, lamb or chicken dishes. Our server has been a fixture here forever, and had a wide knowledge of all the meals and the way that they were presented. Full service bar, it made for a nice evening and a taste of the old country.
