Great bar food, good wings and a great burger on a kaiser roll. Home made soups and a lot of beer on tap, all in an old style log cabin.

Heard a lot of good reports from friends about Dunleavy's so wife and I stopped in for Lunch. And they did not disappoint. Brenda was our waitress, and she could not have been nicer. I had the homemade Roast beef and it was very good, extra horseradish old bay fries. Wife had Potatoe soup and a burger. All were very good, and very reasonable.
Will be back again.

Stopped here for a late lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. Interior resembles an authentic log style building. Good size bar area with the usual sport images on several flat screens. Their menu is quite diverse and would be sufficient for most tastes. We ordered Perogies, Soup of the day, Philly Cheese Steak rolls, a Panzerotti and Clams Casino. Casino clams were good. Lots of clam chunks. Philly steak rolls should be left in the kitchen. Perogies were not all that great, because they were not served with sauted onions and sour cream. Panzerotti had nothing inside but some Pizza sauce. Altogether, a disappointing lunch. You won't find a menu on their web site, because the site offers very sparse of information.
However, in defense of the establishment, which is quite popular, they offer a huge beer selection both draught and in bottle and their beef sandwiches and burgers are renowned for the area. We did not try either of these items. On a footnote: the men's room is the most interesting that I have ever experienced. Bon Appetit'.

Great place to stop for a quick bite to eat. We've stopped by on several occasions and have never been disappointed. Tried many of their happy hour specials and everything has been great. Definitely recommend it!

The hot roast beef sandwich, served with beef gravy on a roll, is a classic in the Phila. area. Done right, it is moist, sometimes soaking into the roll, not salty, but with plenty of roasted beef flavor. Dunleavy's serves theirs on an Italian roll, along with a pickle slice and chips. Their gravy was the only thing that could be improved upon, it appeared to be thickened with corn starch, and would have been fine as just the drippings. Our server helpfully brought an extra side in case we wanted to add to what was already on our servings. There are also different versions, an open-faced roast beef and one with Blue Cheese and horse radish on a round bun. Tons of beers are on tap, and a printed list would have helped. I stopped our server around the letter C, then selected a local brew that she had mentioned and recommended. The drinks and food came quickly, the waitress was pleasant and helpful. Locals at the bar, a group in the back room, families at the tables. Dark lighting and rock and roll on the sound system. The decor is Authentic Log Cabin/Hunter Chic from about 40 years ago, and it certainly isn't the Decorator-Sourced and Polished Faux Cabin Look that would kill its taproom charm. Just honest, affordable, fun and memorable.
