I was with a large family who went out to eat after a traumatic funeral. The Golden Corral in Delran NJ was welcoming and the food and service were both excellent.
Initially, we had tried to go to eat at the Golden Corral in Bensalem PA, but after we had gotten out of our cars a young man came out of the restaurant into the parking lot shouting that he owned the property (apparently he felt that gave him some authority even though it was obviously untrue) and that he was going to call the police if we didn't leave immediately. There were some frayed tempers after the funeral and several family members were discussing matters in raised voices, to be sure, but nothing appeared criminal or threatening in the slightest. Apparently, this young man felt that a bunch of middle-aged black women shouting at each other constituted a clear and present danger. I am an objective observer (only a family friend and a middle-aged white male) and I felt that he was being hysterical. Among other things, this moron failed to notice the many cars with bright orange FUNERAL stickers in the windshield. This junior manager is a disgrace to Golden Corral and undercuts what the chain claims to stand for.
Got to Delran and don't bother with Bensalem for your Golden Corral needs!
