We just came back from our first trip to this lovely resort. We took advantage of a Groupon deal and weren't sure what to expect, although the pictures looked lovely. It surpassed our expectations in all respects. My two boys had a wonderful time at the pool and ping-pong tables and we loved that the games room was not an arcade so we could all play together without plugging in quarters continuously. The rooms were very nice, with lots of light and very spacious bathrooms. We enjoyed sitting on the large verandah, playing board games, going to the smores campfires, walking to the barn (and scratching the donkey's ears) and swimming in the pool. I went to the spa which was truly lovely and so nice to be on an upper floor with lovely views, rather than stuck in a basement. We skied Cannon and didn't mind the drive to and from the resort. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We will certainly come back.

This was our first trip to the Mountain View but we are already planning our next. There were so many things to do we couldn't fit them all in with just a weekend visit. We had a fabulous meal in the wine cellar. It was pricey but outstanding. We enjoyed the piano music by Greg Goodwin, a very talented musician. After a full day of skiing at nearby Bretton Woods, we had a great meal at the tavern. The room was comfy. The staff were all top notch and the views were spectacular.

Room Tip: We had a historic room- it was on the small side.

Staff really shine at this lovely resort. They are consistently helpful & upbeat. We hiked at the nearby Weeks State Park, swam daily in the pool, visited the farm (llamas, sheep, goats, and more), skied Cannon Mt, and often walked the grounds & sat in comfortable spots to drink in the amazing views of the White Mts. Delicious food.

My mom & I went to the MVGH to celebrate her 81st birthday and do a little x-country skiing and hiking. We had never been to this hotel before and we had an amazing experience! The two night stay began with an upgrade to one of the seven rooms with its own private balcony looking out over the best view in the world - the entire presidential mountain range all snow covered! Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, from the bell hop to the front desk people to the wait staff to the farm and equestrian staff. The food was delicious and beautifully presented; the service was professional, yet friendly. Everyone there was having the time of their life and sharing their enthusiasm as they passed each other in the hallways or outdoors. This is a newly renovated historic hotel in a most beautiful spot with impressive efforts to be eco friendly. They have their own wind energy, water tower, organic garden and apple orchard. They have a barn full of clean, friendly animals - goats, llamas, alpacas, rabbits, sheep. The pool and sauna area is clean and peaceful. The fitness center and spa impressive. It's obvious that the people who work there love it and are proud of the place. We felt spoiled and will definitely be back! I can't think of one negative thing to say except that the snow was melting so the x-country skiing wasn't that great! Not much anyone can do about that!

Room Tip: Only 7 rooms have private balconys. We were upgraded to one of those and ate a couple meals out on o...
