At the beginning of the season Water Country has clean clear water and it is not crowded until schools let out for the summer, so take your kids out of school for on a hot day, go early in the season, and during the week for very short lines.

Thanks for taking the time to share a review! Visiting in June is the perfect after-school treat to surprise the kids with and a great way to kick-off the summer after the last day of school! Hope to see you then!

We got season passes again this year. I am pleased to say that they seem to have taken the reviews to heart. The bathrooms are better, I actually saw an attendant cleaning the ladies room. And the life guards seemed friendlier this year.
We were there 10 times since June and didn't see any rides closed due to mechanical problems (as we have in years passed).
Over all it's a fun day and well worth the price of the season pass if you plan to visit more than 2 times.

This place is nice for anyone who loves the water. They have rides for all ages. The prices are like any other amusement park. Parking is $5. Rent a cabana and bring your own food if you have a large group or you'll spend way more than you would like. They don't go above and beyond but I would go again.

Water Country was neither great nor was it horrible- it was really middle of the road. We visited on the day of the Solar Eclipse and there was no trash in the water, the lifeguards were attentive and telling children to get off of slides they were too big for which were some of the complaints that made me nervous about going here.

1) Ticket Price- without a discount- the full price cost of the ticket does not justify the value of the park. So to decrease frustration with the park- purchase a ticket that is discounted.

2) Guest Relations- the line is a new definition for slow- our print at home tickets never printed so we had to go here to get tickets- and stood in a line behind 2 families for almost 30 min. GRRRR.

3) Paint- many of the buildings have patches of peeling or missing paint- so there is no doubt that a good repainting is needed.

4) Tube Rentals- you can rent a tube for 7$ a day- personally we passed on that option as it would have added another 56$ to the day. There really is no need to rent a tube- there are only a few places to use it and they should be completely banned for safety reasons from the wave pool.

5) they do have places to hold shoes at all the rides so you don't have to scorch your bare feet on hot pavement- which is rocky in some places.

6) the real benefit is your ability to bring in a cooler. They have a good number of picnic tables. They have less lounge chairs which is frustrating for those who would prefer to sun rather than swim, especially when people hoarde chairs and never use them.

7) there are a number of great spots for young children to safely play and explore.

8) Beware the weight limits- some rides have a weigh limit so step on the platform at the entrance to make sure your group is a go.

9) There are basically 2 rides that are thrills in a raft and the rest are for body slders.

10) Seagulls are everywhere. They were not aggressive when we visited but they do go up on picnic tables and peck at covered dishes when you are not around- so to be safe- put everything in the cooler or in some kind of "peck" proof container.

Despite all this- there is lots of fun to be had at the park. It is a nice way for a families of all types to pass the day and the ability to picnic is a huge benefit and cost saver. So while it is not extensive- it is not dismal either. I would however recommend NOT going on hot days where the crowds would be overwhelming as the park does not have enough attractions or wave pool space to handle large crowds.

Everyone loves the water fun but good grief they need to spend some of the outrageous parking fee policing the nitwits who feed the gulls. Also install lines to keep them away from the waterfalls.
Often too crowded and the rules are strict in strange ways...how is dangling your feet in the pool a hazard?
The lifeguards are too many and too weird. Insurance must be half the admission charge.
Would be a blessing to level this nice property and build needed housing (with pools).
