Arrived just as they were opening at 11 am, note the spring opening time. Enjoyed the special exhibit on Augustus Saint-Gauden but also the regular exhibits. Galleries have a common theme, American art, European art, baroque art so comparison and changes can be seen.

There is a nice cafe and a gift shop too.

The museum is good. The exhibition is organized at the highest level. Everyone will find something interesting for themselves. There is painting and architecture.

Much smaller museum than most, as compared to Boston. A great place to visit close to home though for an afternoon out. Worth the admission price & memberships for the year are reasonable as well.

Although it's small, The Currier has a world class collection of historic and contemporary art in all genres. Their special exhibitions are always well organized and interesting. They also have a small but fabulous gift shop with a great variety of items in various price ranges.

My wife and I headed down to Manch-vegas and went to the Currier to view the Gaudin exhibit, which was visiting. The sculptures were exceptional, and the Picasso and Monet were nice surprises. The second floor had a signifcant amount of landscape paintings of turn of the centruy New England, which were lovely. From Lake George to the White Mountains and down to the Rhode Island coast. They have a nice cafe. We spent two hours there, and we could have stayed a bit longer. We will definitely be back.
