Tucked amidst giant pine trees, green ferns, pebble pathways, and located on the shores of beautiful Squam Lake are the cabins of Cotton Cove Cottages. Built in the 1950's, the 12 cottages are a throw back to simpler times. Rustic, yet comfortable and clean, the families that fill them have been coming to the lake for years. Days are filled with swimming, boating, water skiing, kayaking, fishing and any other water activity you desire, Wonderful hiking trails in the White Mountains are minutes away, as well as a host of vacation attractions that will keep you busy for days. Kids of all ages mix and are in constant motion whether enjoying the clear water of Squam, reading a book on the dock, walking into town for lunch, roasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories by the campfire, or playing Manhunt. In the evening, adults and/or children can be heard laughing as they play board game or just socializing over a glass of wine or cup of coffee.

During our weeks at Cotton Cove, the guests have snacks and cocktails on the beach about 5PM. Every Tuesday we enjoy a pot-luck dinner lakeside and over the years it has grown into quite a feast! Cotton Cove Cottages are where memories are made.

You can't beat the beauty of the White Mountains and Squam Lake. Why not experience all that the area has to offer by booking at Cotton Cove Cottages. Like so many of us, you will likely make it a yearly destination.

My family has been going to Cotton Cove Cottages since the year after it opened (more than 50 years ago)! The cabins are rustic, the beach is clean, and the lake is crystal clear! There is no other place like it on earth. Four generations of my family have enjoyed this vacation spot in the white mountains of New Hampshire. I highly recommend it.

What can I say? This place has been a vacation spot for me since I am three years old. Almost every summer we went there as a family. Now, with a family of my own (husband and 3 kids ages 11, 9 and 6) we have been there every summer (except one) for over 12 years! Rustic, yet clean cabins right on the lake...we bring our small motorized boat so we can enjoy fishing, waterskiing, tubing...or sometimes we just hang out at the beach. It's an instant playdate for my kids who always find friends to play with. Susan and Terry Goss are great hosts and are carrying on the tradition of the Goss family. Its relatively inexpensive for what you get...and just plain beautiful! So peaceful with clean, crisp air...wooded pines..clean fresh water to swim in...and the lake is rather quiet so you won't find huge crowds and lots of "touristy" things here. The kids can swim, play ping pong, hunt for crayfish, and play "Manhunt" at night! It's great to know that my kids are making the same memories I did growing up here every summer. It does have free wireless internet, but don't expect a phone, a TV or air conditioning...and you won't miss any of them!

These rustic cabins (while clean and basic) are absolute paradise. Location is a 10+ in a beautiful deepwater cove on the most beautiful lake in New Hampshire. The beach is incredible for little ones, and the little bigger ones love the swim raft, canoes, kayaks, and paddle boat that are available first come. The hosts Terry and Susan are incredible and make this a wonderful, affordable, perfect vacation on a charming lake. Bring your marshmallows & waterskiis, and leave your stress south of Concord!

Beautiful wooden cabins on Squam Lake - so peaceful and so much fun for the kids. We enjoy this place every single year.
