You guys made my engagement so special. From the room to the view to the 5 star dinner you did it all. Everything was perfect and I look forward to staying here every 21st of March for the rest of our married life.

We spent the last days of winter and the beginning of spring at Bretton Woods, mainly to get a few more days of Nordic skiing in. We had a wonderful experience at Mt. Washington Resort. The views are breathtaking, the service throughout our stay was terrific and the xc skiing was fantastic. Beautiful trails expertly groomed with amazing conditions. Our room was small, but well furnished and again fantastic views. We loved exploring the hotel and seeing it's history framed on the walls. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We will definitely be returning and will try out the spa services. I recommend trying out non-peak times for your stay.

We had a wonderful experience, the rooms are generous and the service friendly and knowledgeable. My only issue might be the food which was pricy and not outstanding. Nearby restaurants are available. This is a destination resort which is quite beautiful.

Spent 2 nights in the "Princess Room" purely by chance (Room #314). Lovely Grand Dame of NH ski country. Full of character and quirky things (like the balky old elevator with a human operator,,,, I wonder how many of those remain in operation). A full resort with the usual, but with a flair missing from many of the newer resorts. Without a doubt, it's the people who make this resort. There is a heartfelt friendliness in their voices as they speak to you missing from the standard "professional courtesy" we are accustomed to. Special thumbs up to Johnathan, our sleigh driver, and Emily our waitress at Stickney's, in particular. Pricey but understandable with this huge facility and cranky older structures. The heating bill must be staggering this time of year!! I imagine it gets pretty hectic come the summer and ski vacation months. We are looking forward to our return in the fall when Mt. Washington is in its glory. If you preview more intimacy , the Bretton Arms Inn is for you. And dining..... The Bretton Arms has 4 star AAA rating plus they won overall best of all the Omni resorts world wide. Both the wife and I agreed this was a warm relaxing get-a-way with genuinely friendly and helpful staff. We got the feel of the way LIFE used to be before everything seemed to turn upside down. Imagine people after dinner dancing to "As Time Goes By' to a live pianist. Bogart and Bergman would be proud. Just my opinion....

Room Tip: Stay with the middle to higher categories ..... Look closely at the Bretton Arms facility for a smaller venue (only 35 rooms I believe) but still handy to the Old Lady facilities. If you are there "in season", be sure to do the cog railway trip to the top of Mt. Washington. (Don't go unless you can see the top of the mountain from the inn veranda :).

The place is beautiful. But when there are lots of children they are running through the halls at all hours. Tough to sleep. Also restraints are extremely expensive. Drinks are too. But I would still recommend the hotel to those who want a classy stay at a high end establishment.
