Traveling through the area it was a pleasure to find and get to stay at the Mizpah Hotel. The history is interesting and the building holds a lot of information. Service was good and the breakfast surpassed what i had expected.

Charming historical hotel in mining town. A truly lovely stop on the way to Death Valley or just touring the great state of Nevada. The Jack Dempsey Suite came with a bear-claw tub, red velvet drapes, and coolest chandelier. Just exploring the property with my little boy was an adventure!

Dear Pngwyen,
Thank you for your comments! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay. Next time you stay with us be sure to take some time to explore Tonopah. There are so many interesting things from the Historic mining park behind us to the Central Nevada museum just up the road. Again, thank you and we'll see you next time!

I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world and the Mizpah is my favorite. The beautifully restored Victorian lobby and hallways convey a special atmosphere that you just don’t find in more modern hotels. The rooms are period decorated, very clean and the beds are as comfortable as in any good modern hotel. The lobby, with its Victorian couches, low tables and long bar is a perfect place to relax and enjoys a beverage and snack. You can watch one of the two flat screens TVs, read a book or chat with fellow travelers. I’ve met some interesting people there. There is a restaurant attached to the lobby which is not cheap, but the food is quite good. When I pass through Tonopah and don’t stay, I’ll usually stop and get their, grilled cheese sandwich to go. Instead of putting a little coffeemaker that makes crummy coffee in your room, in the morning they lay out a large carafe of fresh coffee with china cups, sugar and half-and-half on one of the antique sideboards in the hallway on each floor. The coffee is darn good, too. Mizpah is very dog friendly. They only charge $10 to bring your furry friend and provide a little care package when You arrive. You can bring your well-behaved dog to the lobby with you and order dinner in the lobby. All of the staff is really friendly.

Dear Max,
Thank you so much for your comments! Fred and Nancy Cline really did do a spectacular job renovating and returning the Mizpah to it's 110 year old grandeur and glory. We appreciate your repeat business and look forward to seeing you on your next trip through Tonopah!
