On August 8, 2015 we arrived at 2:40 p.m. expecting to check in and were advised we had to wait until 4:00 - no rooms were available. To expedite our 4:00 check in, we were asked to do the "paperwork", which should have been minimal given we had booked & prepaid through Expedia. Ten minutes later we are looking for a restaurant to relax in only to find a very limited "poolside" snack bar offering few items. When we returned at 4:00 to check in, everyone else who had been waiting all day to check in were also in line. The line snaked outside, and the front desk would not release any rooms until exactly 4:00. Needless to say, people were outraged at this wait, and to appease the clients, the resort offered bags of chips while we stood in line. The management was hiding like cowards in the back room forcing the front line staff to endure an extremely agitated crowd. Once we found our way to the room, an hour later, we found handles that came off taps, no shampoo or soap, a "sleep number" bed that wouldn't stop adjusting itself, and no Wi-Fi. This is not a hotel - this is a second class vacation rental property at best. Given how far it is from town, the lack of amenities such as restaurant and WIFI is deplorable. We paid top dollar for this unit, and would be better served at a budget motel in the village. Shame on the management for their "rules" on check in and exposing frontline staff to unnecessary abuse. Think twice about spending time here.

We traded our Breckenridge, CO timeshare and were extremely disappointed. The units are dated, cheap and need a good cleaning. The trash can does not fit under the sink. The fake wood finish is peeling off. The sofa cushions are dirty. The "view" from the deck is primarily other condos and trees. The appliances are scratched and worn. The handyman must have fixed the kitchen sink by hitting it repeatedly. The area is extremely steep so walking to the main resort buildings is discouraged. They even provide a shuttle because it is not walkable. There is a shared entry with another unit which is awkward. Everything felt second rate.

We had a wonderful stay in our 1 bedroom with a one bedroom lockout. Very spacious with jacuzzi tub In master bedroom, full bath, living room with fireplace, dining area, back balcony with great view of resort and Carson valley. Main resort also had pool, jacuzzi, steam room, racquetball, tennis, store, and a few restaurants. Housekeeping was great and checked on us every day even though we were a weekly stay. Close to town, about 5 minutes down the mountain. Safeway grocery is close and a great choice if you want to save and prepare your own meals some. Plenty to explore, including soaring Nevada glider tours in minded, nv. I recommend highly.

Our family came here for a wedding. The property is very nice and the views are great but the people coordinating the rooms were terrible. They set aside rooms for the group but when you call reservations, the people answering the phones have no idea about the rooms reserved so we can't book them, and the family ends up scattered in rooms all over the property literally miles apart. Instead of walking to each other's rooms to enjoy company we have to drive or wait for shuttles and waste quality time. The rooms reserved were in a nice building with great views, but most people got stuck in cramped rooms at the bottom of the hill, and had to pay more money! We won't be back, despite the nice views.

I have read the other reviews about not being able to get service. You have to keep in mind that this is a timeshare place and the Ridge point is not part of the main building. When we checked in, we had to just call the desk and they gave us a passcode to a lock box. We never actually saw anyone. But that was not a big deal for us. The room was awesome. We stayed in 7213-14 and it was great. Large and clean. We have little kids and my wife had very few complaints. We went in the off season so there was hardly anybody there. We had the hot tub and gym all to our selves every day. Also, most people don't realize that if you stay at the Ridge Point, you have access to the main Ridge Club. It has an awesome pool and spa. You have total access to all of their amenities as well. So don't overlook that while there.

Food is expensive at the top of the hill so be sure to stop at a grocery store on your way into town. The rooms have everything you need. Kitchen was great!

Oh. And the jetted tub in the master..... AWESOME! Comfortably fits two and you can see the TV from it. LOL. Needless to say, Wife and I loved that.

Great view from the rooms (with sleep number beds). Easy to get to and we had a great time. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Stay on the main level (Rooms that start with "2"). Take advantage of the main club (not...
