Had lunch this past weekend with several friends. All our food was very tasty. I had the bruschetta which was very good if a bit untraditional with melted mozzarella on top, but very tasty! Also had the pear and fig sandwich which was also yummy if sticky! Lovely restaurant!

We went in for a quick lunch and sat outside along the river; it was lovely! The Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos were fantastic; fresh ingredients and flavorful. I chose the avocado salad as a side; the lemon basil dressing was delicious and the salad was super fresh and the perfect size. My dining companion ordered the same tacos served with sweet potato fries and were equally as pleased. The other person at the table ordered the Wild River Salad and it too was very fresh and flavorful. We highly recommend and will be back! Pleasant service and great setting.

Two lunches here over a couple of years; both very nice experiences. Interesting menu (though dinner looks REALLY special). Two of us indulged in a fancy BLT (with a duck egg: rich!) and a grilled ham & cheese. Both came with really great fries; a lot of food! I think there's more shade now; kudos to management for that.

This is simply the best eating experience in Reno. It is at the intersection of the main street in Reno and its real flowing river (rare in the southwest). It is actually next to the river with indoor and outdoor seating. There is usually a band playing rock oldies.

The appetizer of crab and salmon cakes is really good. For a light meal the beet chip salad is also good. It features spinach and lightly sautéed beet chips which are tasty but not oily.

All this and a couple of glasses of wine will run about $50.

If you check my >230 reviews, you will see that most of the restaurants I choose to visit have been recommended to me or researched by me first so that I typically find their service and food good or excellent according to my shared ratings. Our experience at Wild River Grille did not meet our expectations in almost all aspects. They did, however, offer and we agreed to accept the courtesy of refunding the charges for one of our foursome's overcooked order. His order was for what he emphasized would be a "rare" hamburger. It arrived definitely dried out from being overcooked. They offered to do his meal again and he described once again what "rare" meant to him in terms of being cooked so that the center of the burger was definitely bright pink or reddish. They again returned a hamburger that displayed no pink at all, only a well done or overcooked status. His wife and I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and we not pleased with what they served us. It was diminutive in size overall and, in both of our dishes, the amount of chicken salad included in the sandwich reminded us both of the Burger King commercial where the old lady customer repeatedly asks "where's the beef." We withheld comments regarding our dissatisfaction after seeing the response to the rare hamburger issues. My wife had the portobello mushroom dish and said it was "oK." The service was polite and prompt but the food fell far short of our expectations and put a damper on our treating these out of town guests to what we hoped would be good food.
