The whole hotel staff made the experience of the trip. Everyone seemed like they wanted to be at work and took pride in the property they worked at. They were friendly and very attentive to the guests needs. This hotel was an example of the pinnacle of customer service. Cannot wait to return.

Rooms were average blackout curtain was great. Could hear construction early in the morning. I would like to stay at this hotel again after everything is completed with construction due to the central location.

Looking forward to a few relaxing days in Vegas while my husband was there for IBM conference.. Did Not Happen
Our experience was awful. Awakened before 6:30 am by pounding jackhammers and nonstop noise all day, Opened my curtains and there were men working right outside my window. And strong chemical smell off and on ...some of their staff in hallway were wearing masks !
And I was hoping for a nice spa day ...no spa ...under construction..
If there had been any mention of “hotel under total construction” online when we were
booking our stay we would not have stayed there. They should be disclosing that on their website.
Really disappointing.

I don't normally review but in this case I had to if only to warn others. The Monte Carlo is under construction and turning into the Park MGM they said by April 1st. My husband and I booked a two night getaway our first without kids from 4/2-4/4. We arrived late, around 9, and we're hungry as we drive straight for several hours to get there. We could see that things were still very heavily under construction but we hoped for the best as it was already supposed to be the Park MGM. Self check in was down, and we were told room service was only from 6am-2pm but things started to look up when we saw the room. We got the Park King with strip view and the room LOOKED great. We laughed at the little note with earplugs that said pardon our dust and noise and headed out for the night. The noise started at 7am and was right above us on the 25th floor. We had to yell to speak to each other. The earplugs didn't do anything. Room service for breakfast was good but the poor guy wasn't allowed a cart he said because of construction. Then I went to shower and a drizzle spouted out, that went from cold to warm and then while mid-shampoo cut out entirely! We were offered water bottles and no apology. They explained that water was intermittent and to wait 20-30 minutes. I washed my hair with a spare water bottle and waited as an hour came and went with no water in the room! I've never experienced a hotel without running water even the shoddy ones have running water! We went down and we're told we were the second room without any water and to wait ten minutes and check again but we explained that we had already waited well over an hour at that point. We asked what he could do for us and he offered a stay well room and called it an upgrade though it didn't have a view. We took it as we both needed to use the bathroom. The room had a memory foam mattress as hard as a slab of concrete with cardboard over it. The shower head feature was busted and had little water pressure, the lights wouldn't turn off completely at night, and the air vent omitted a high pitched sound all night. The two things going for it were the running water and slightly less noise from the construction. Just don't stay here. Too many problems and from the state of the staff and other couples changing rooms it sounds like this is just going to keep happening.

Dear troberts0485,

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. Although you were pleased with the surroundings in our newly renovated guestrooms, we regret to read about the inconveniences you encountered at check-in and for the water in your guestroom bathroom not functioning properly. Additionally, we are saddened to hear about the distracting noise from construction easily heard on your stay. Please know all of your valuable comments have been shared with the appropriate areas for further review and future improvements. We have an all new brand coming very soon and it is our hope you will consider visiting us again the next time you are on the Strip.

Sincerely,

Elleyne M.

Best to avoid the Monte Carlo while it transforms into Park MGM. I would feel sorry for someone wanting a fabulous Vegas vacation experience and ending up in a construction zone. They have one restaurant open, no shops to speak of, the gaming floor very reduced, and blank walls all over to hide construction activities. The main casino entrance looks like a war zone.
