“Livin' Large at the Aria”
Reviewed 23 April 2012

Exceeded my expectations. Clean rooms, well appointed and priced appropriately.
Surprised at FREE valet parking. As you would guess, the restaurants were a bit pricey, but all said, a great experience.

Room Tip: We stayed close enough to the elevators so as not to hear the noise, yet also not far enough to make...

i have been to las vegas for several times now and i make it a point that everytime i visit the SIN CITY i try a diff hotel..well this hotel was new when i visited and so far it was the best in Vegas for me..compared to other hotels i stayed at ( Mandalay Bay, Treasure Island, Monte Carlo etc). Their rooms were huge, clean and very trendy. Love their buffet!!!!!!! and their specialty bakeshop near the casino..so many great things about ARIA, i would def stay here again

We recently stayed at Aria on a business trip. We had walked through the hotel lobby/casino in October 2011 and were actually excited to check out this newer addition to the LV strip. As much as I love technology, this is not a resort I will choose again.

Their surely are "green" initiatives that have led to the complaints I have but all in all this is a Re-do of the MGM at best. There are some very cool high tech touches at Aria that I like, such as the touch panel total control touch screen in each room. If it was intuitive or there was an obvious source of education on how to use it that would help. Until then you can anticipate random and frustrating results from this system.

A couple of examples might illustrate the point. At 2:30"AM the curtains opened, the lights came on and the TV began to blare. This is helpful if you need to be sure you catch a flight home but not so much if you just got to sleep an hour before and DID NOT set the magic touch screen to do this. Another time, as I was on a self- guided exploration of the night-stand controller, the lag in response for the room lights created a bizarre on/off experience fir mynwife.

Had a $100 beverage and dining credit; NOT. When I checked in I asked about this credit and the person said it would be a credit on your bill. I asked what did I need to do to use it and was told just give your room number and it would be used like a credit. I spent $75 at the pool in beverages and was told at checkout the credit did not apply because I did not go into the café to buy my drinks; instead I had the pool waitress bring the drinks; that is not a beverage service according to the ARIA. They gave me a card at the end of what counted, but it was not clear either, but it would have been nice to get it at check-in versus check-out. I thought I ha used all the credit, but that was not the case. I debated on ordering breakfast because I thought the credit was all used up, NOT. Should have ordered the breakfast.
Other than that the hotel was almost perfect. The mattress was a little too soft, so the credit problem and the mattress makes for 3 stars.
Make sure you get a good explanation of what counts toward the credit if you have one.

Room Tip: If you smoke do not be afraid of heights as the smoking rooms are on the higher floors.

The hotel was (similar to other good hotels in vegas) big and luxury. The self park area was a bit far from the front desk. Rooms are very modern with cool gadgets that control everything from a touch screen control panel. Staff was very welcoming and accommodating. I asked for higher foor and they gave us the one we liked. They also send our room nice treats for our anniversary.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms without connecting doors and far from air ducts as we had some noise issue on the firs...
