“Not worth the savings.”
Reviewed 23 March 2012

I stayed at the Palace Station this past week while in town for a conference. I would not recommend anyone stay because of the extra fees associated with the rooms. The room was dirty and not the luxury room I booked. I later learned that the hotel substituted a courtyard room even though I paid for the tower. When I asked about the difference the manager just rolled her eyes and said that's the only room we have available so take it or leave it. While the low prices may appeal to your budget, find another place to stay so maybe your trip to Vegas is a little more enjoyable than mine.

I did my homework before booking this hotel and that's why I was extra disappointed in our stay. We booked a renovated room but got stuck in an older main floor room next to the highway. That I could have lived with but this older hotel has poor ventilation and you can smell the smoke everywhere. I think someone had smoked in our room before and they used a powerful cleaner/air freshener to try an eliminate the odour. This chemical made me sick to my stomach - literally. Not a great way to start a fun weekend in Vegas.
Breakfast was included in our stay but we didn't eat there once. The buffet line up was long, the food looked terrible, and again that area reeked of smoke.
We ended up walking around the outside of the building in order to avoid the overwhelming smell of this hotel.
The most ironic part is that shortly after we got home, we got an email asking us to complete a survey. I shared the concerns I posted here and was prompted for permission to have someone from the hotel contact me. So far, no one has.
My recommendation: stay away from this hotel.

Room Tip: Tower seems to be the better choice but even if you are promised one of these, you aren't likely...

I stood here for a night and rate was 177.00 for a standard room. Im glad it was only for one night because there wasn't anything special about the room. Which in fact the bed skirt was filled with weird stains and carpet was dirty the wood in the bathroom looked dirty as if no one ever wipes the wood with pledge or even at all because it was sticky just like the bed skirt from the bed. The chairs looked stained and dirty as if some liquid fell and no one bothered to wipe or clean them down

We arrived at the Palace Station after a long flight from NYC only to find out that the tower room we paid for was not available and they were giving us a courtyard room. The courtyard rooms should be demolished because they're that nasty and run down. I called the front desk daily because we were told that our room would be available the next day but that never happened. So we spent 6 nights in that dump because Travelocity would not help us get a refund. The Palace Station only offered two free breakfast buffets for our trouble... funny thing is that in no way makes up for the extra $15 a night we paid to stay in the tower rooms. Between the rude staff and mangagement of the Palace Station and the lack of customer service Travelocity provides our trip was ruined. Also - if you're traveling with family GO elsewhere because there was numerous hookers inside the property and homeless people will approach you in the parking lot because the security does nothing but sit at the doors. You have NO protection in the parking lot or garage.

Room Tip: I would say book a tower room but that doesn't matter because the hotel will give you whatever r...

This is the worst place to stay in vegas! If you want to rest after having fun? This place is not for you. My wife booked the rooms for her sisters wedding on priceline.com. Priceline.com screwed up on our reservations. Then after dealing with rude employees at the front desk, we were all given rooms in the Courtyard. The rooms were NASTY! No tub, just stand up shower, No bedspread, just sheets with thin blanket in between, No water pressure, Water would go from hot to cold back and forth through entire shower,The heater was loud and either too hot or too cold, People running up and down halls being extremly loud and rude, Security doing nothing about it! and even the security that walked by talking loudly as they occasionally cruised the hall, The maids where VERY RUDE and LOUD as they talked and walkie talkies echoed the halls! And if you want to WIN MONEY? This is not the casino for you. These are some of the tightest machines I have ever played! You might as well just burn your money you will get the same results! The food there is also NASTY! Especially the buffet! If I go to vegas again I will NEVER stay at the palace station or any of the station casinos again period! A motel 6 would put this place to shame!

Room Tip: Do Not Stay Here Period !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
