This casino is "old school" Las Vegas in a great way. Low table limits, great gaming rules, old time slots that still take coins, the latest slots, live keno and very friendly staff. I added many photos of my visit and I will return.

two slices pepperoni and coke $9.20 after tax in the naked pizza red hot, perhaps a slice might of been enough, keep forgetting the portion sizes. Tasty

The El Cortez is an original Casino from the past but has the lowest priced slots and table games in Las Vegas. Definitely stop here

If you are looking for a place to play blackjack with low minimum bets and a relaxed atmosphere and fair rules, the El Cortez is the best place to go. I took my 21 year old daughter there for her first visit and when it was time to gamble a little, we went to the El Cortez. It has $5 dollar minimum tables for Blackjack with no intimidating atmosphere, perfect for the beginner and any gambler who wants to have there best shot at maybe winning and not have to spend ridiculously high minimum bets. My daughter played for over and hour and came out even and felt comfortable with the laid back atmosphere. A good experience.

We keep coming back here because it's just so darned cool. The old school charm can never be replicated in those gaudy behemoths on the strip. The best place to play for low-rollers: $5 single-deck blackjack which still pays 3:2 on a natural, Roulette with quarter chips and a $1 min, and craps with $3 min and generous 10x odds.
